No we had pick 3, Melbourne had that tanking year and somehow finished lower than Carlton which was some feat and had pick 2...but Melbourne were wedded to Luke Jackson froma long way out. So we would have had Noah Anderson running around in our midfield but for the AFL f**king us over with that garbage PP to Gold Coast
I reckon Noah Anderson would be more valuable to us than Fischer McAsey? No we had pick 3, Melbourne had that tanking year and somehow finished lower than Carlton which was some feat and had pick 2...but Melbourne were wedded to Luke Jackson froma long way out. You think?I reckon Noah Anderson would be more valuable to us than Fischer McAsey?
Ahh yes Luke Jackson - cheersNo we had pick 3, Melbourne had that tanking year and somehow finished lower than Carlton which was some feat and had pick 2...but Melbourne were wedded to Luke Jackson froma long way out. Yeah. ProbablyYou think?
After last night, I'd trade Keane instead of Butts. Not because he was pantsed by Gunston - many players better than him have been. But more because of the 2 shovels/throws (1 called on the wing, 1 wasn't called near the goal square) towards the end of the game. That screams to me mental weakness and a "me first" attitude. It was an example, but yes I'd also rather keep Butts. It was more a "I doubt we're going to be tight for list spots" example.
Absolutely would trade Max, a dour defender…. Not fast and has little X factor just disciplinedTo improve our midfield I absolutely would without a second thought
Try posting sober next timeAbsolutely would trade Max, a dour defender…. Not fast and has little X factor just disciplined
Walker gets you goals if the ball comes to him on the lead but his defensive deficiencies cost you just as much these days as defenders just walk around him. Time to move on …. give Curtin that much ball up fwd and he’ll kick just as much. Van Berlin was a deer in headlights with no awareness and vision and we have him coaching the mids. Replace him and our SANFL coachWe just need a player in the middle that can get their hands on the ball.
Oliver averaged 26 touches a game this year (and got 30 against Collingwood… wouldn’t that be nice!). He’s only 28. Id back him back under Burgess to get back to quality even if it’s not top 3 players in the league.
I’m not saying we should use a first round pick. A second rounder with Melbourne paying $500k would do it.
- Oliver
- Zac Bailey
- Ah Chee
- Goad or Dodson
The last two less important.
Murphy, Smith, Shoenberg all gone. Crouch retired. Is Jones contracted? If not, delist.
I’d let Walker go around again if he wants but only play home games. Find that second/third tall in away games.
I don't know how many times I have to say it, but the AFL didn't **** us over. We ****ed ourselves (or, more specifically, Ogilve) by picking McAsey over an array of talent like Serong, Young, Pickett and the home-grown Day (despite his injury concerns now).No we had pick 3, Melbourne had that tanking year and somehow finished lower than Carlton which was some feat and had pick 2...but Melbourne were wedded to Luke Jackson froma long way out. Young is struggling to get on the park now isn't he?Day and Pickett were considered relative reaches at the time, particularly Pickett.
Young however was long seen as a possible number one pick and did little wrong in his draft year. He was a lay-up.
I daydream occassionally that instead of splitting 4 for McAsey and Pedlar we managed to turn it into Day and Pickett.Day and Pickett were considered relative reaches at the time, particularly Pickett.
Young however was long seen as a possible number one pick and did little wrong in his draft year. He was a lay-up.
The off season becomes all eyes on Mids, no excuses we have to get at worst a B+ mid and some speed across the board. Same old we needed years ago.
Dogs, suns and Swans will all
Be better next season so if we don’t improve we will be botttom half of the 8 easily.
Does anyone have a rumour of a player coming?
achee sounds promising
So you would trade Dawson? So who would be on your list of untradeables?
Think my list is currently only three players
Rachele
Thilthorpe
Curtin
We are not trading Max.If we convinced Richards to come here and the Bulldogs wanted picks and Michalanney I'm doing the deal, but if they asked for Thilthorpe I'm saying no
That to me means Michalanney is tradeable
