Melbourne has come for Collingwood forward Brody Mihocek “in a big way” as he weighs up an offer to cross to the Demons.

The 32-year old is out of contract and yet to sign a deal tabled to him by the Magpies.

People seem a little to happy to trade Powell, it's not like we need to trade him to get Butts.

We don't.. and I would like to keep Powell, but we have to be realistic/honest with him about where he stands going forward, unless he can hit another level he will be a bench player. I don't mind that because bench is a lot better than where Phillips is.

Powell would almost jag you a top 20 pick out of Adelaide after that midfield mauling.

If the net moves are hustwaite in Powell out, and we can jag butts, who’s ****ing horrible as a modern defender, but would have done better than Keane on Friday night.

At this time of year people bay for something, anything to happen.

there is often little consideration to anything beyond the most superficial of levels.

it is why we end up with a vast array of trade proposals where we pay beans and get guns and back in reality no gun is coming to us.

People see Powell and say he's not Sheez or Wardlaw or LDU and I want something to happen so trade him and do a thing.

If he wants to stay and the club rates him, the conversation probably never even progresses into the realms of verbalising the question for the people that would actually matter in this situation.
