Yeah, if Essendon vs Melbourne can get Saturday night billing at Adelaide Oval, it's a no-brainer that Hawthorn vs the Dogs is given a very strong spot. Historically it's never really mattered who is the form team when we play them too. Any result feels possible. Is usually of interest to neutrals due to this.

V Carlton (40 years since the 1986 flag)

No guarantee that we’ll get home games at the MCG against both (we didn’t get an MCG game against St Kilda to mark 50 years since 1971 but that was Covid impacted).

That would be impossible - you can't play double ups against 4 teams in your grouping. The top 6 will be us, Brisbane, Geelong, Collingwood, Adelaide and Gold Coast.

Didn't somebody point out that the SA teams are working through playing all the Vic teams for Gather Round?

If so, we've already been ticked off. The performance nearly turned me off following the club, but we ticked it off.
