Thomas FloodHave Nunawading got a coach?
Thomas played 2 senior games and 11 reserve games at Croydon this season and as some one has said a ex Nunawading player and was appointed in June. They have quite a few players signed up and important to remember they had a U19 team last season which won 4 or 5 games.I presume they are planning for a senior team but a big jump up for these boys if they expect them to play seniors.Personally think credit to them for trying to keep the club alive as many would have given up.Thomas Flood
I could be missing something but do the Nunawading signings only have Christian names? Not a surname amongst them?
Disaster for FTG with their captain a for 2nd year in a row signing for Tooradin-Dalmore. Last year was Jack Flannery and this year Lachie Young.
Doncaster have announced 19 players and based on some quick sums they are already over 46 points. There's no way they're putting out a 22 next year under 46 points. Pretty clear they won't have a point limit. Assume this hasn't been communicated widely.
Is it even possible any club comin outta recess would even be able to stay under 46? it’s either they are given a chop out for the first year or they cant return at all
they can also apply for more pts thru afl vic which i guess they have
Same story for broadford
I think getting to an AFL club works the other way.......they need to contact you ......Jaidyn Stephenson has reportedly contacted multiple clubs about potentially returning to the AFL in 2026.
Yes I would think they have to be given a dispensation, I don’t think it would be possible.
Was reported on the media outlets about a month ago. Haven’t heard anything since though.Jaidyn Stephenson has reportedly contacted multiple clubs about potentially returning to the AFL in 2026.
May find a few of those big tab vouchers in his pocket over at tooradinDisaster for FTG with their captain a for 2nd year in a row signing for Tooradin-Dalmore. Last year was Jack Flannery and this year Lachie Young.
The other teams were petrified when Doncaster offerred to play with 1 senior side in 2025. Part of the reason it was knocked on the head.it sucks for other teams and they’ll be fumin but I think the league and afl vic would rather the club back in then not at all
And same for Nunawading as well and would EFNL allow Nunawading,Doncaster and even Forest Hill to only field 1 senior side in D4 2026.Is it even possible any club comin outta recess would even be able to stay under 46? it’s either they are given a chop out for the first year or they cant return at all

Keeping them under the radar no doubt to surprise a few teams next year.I could be missing something but do the Nunawading signings only have Christian names? Not a surname amongst them?

I don't think there's much that can be done. The club returning is more important than the points limit.
22 x 3 pointers is 66 points so perhaps they get given a 70 point or so limit. Sounds very high but as that shows it's not really. You just want them to get a side up without taking the piss.

I believe that Doncaster will have returning player on there 2024 points.Doncaster have announced 19 players and based on some quick sums they are already over 46 points. There's no way they're putting out a 22 next year under 46 points. Pretty clear they won't have a point limit. Assume this hasn't been communicated widely.
