Whoever scheduled this game at that stadium needs to be sacked lol. Half under construction and the ground looked like a tip. FFS. Should have just played it at Casey. Pretty useless hitout with potential serious knee injury to come out of it. I guess JVR looked ok and Windsor. Looked to be another high scoring free flowing style which is nice.

Why useless? The guys get some match fitness against an actual opposition. They get another look at the new rules. And they get to practice their new game style. Also they get a little bit of belief they are on the right track.
All positives for me. Shit happens with injuries.

This is an AFL standard venue, i don't mind them having reduced capacity for a preseason game while they fix up some new stands

But like, does every game there have be like a 1pm or 2pm start because the ground doesn't have sufficient lighting to for bad conditions or unexpected delays? It's 21st century football and an AFL in season stadium, lights should be some of the first things put up

We played half a game at a stadium under construction with no lights lol. Players didn't get to run out a full game or see a player like Matthews for instance. Anyway, we looked to play some good offensive footy again so let's see what happens against the Saints. Still have PTSD from the last time we played them.

It's annoying that it happened but it is what it is.

Time to move on from Goody PTSD. What happened then doesn't matter, we are a different team playing a different style. If we go down at least it will be fun and entertaining, not whatever that horror show was.

Also - why take the game to Ballarat and then put it on at 4:10 Friday? Should have been tomorrow

If you take us and Richmond out of the equation we're not doing opening round, while the saints and pies are next week (i know it's sunday for them), they could probably use the extra couple days more than us

It's still a bit shit that we play a team that plays in Opening round. Those sides should really play each other in round 1.

Yeah playing at Ballarat stadium wouldn't be a problem if it was 22 degrees and perfect weather. Can't predict the weather, shit happens. They got half a game out, and we looked good from what I saw.

Something that bothered me a little bit was Salem's little throw that lead to Fritsch goal. I know it's preseason game but you should be playing as if it's a normal game. The thing is that's the sort of dumb shit he does in normal games when there's no need for it. Could easily just take a second longer and dispose of it properly.
