The ratings are out.
I’m sure we will start to hear a bit of groundswell from CD and the like if it continues.
But Trembath’s current rating is almost unprecedented in modern stats for a u21 KPP.
He’s got a 30% higher rating than Jesse Hogans debut season in 2015 when he walked the RS.
Only Treacy, Cameron and Walker remain rated ahead of him for any KPF’s and Wilkie and Andrews the only other KPP full stop. It’s quite possible with a big game this weekend he is the #1 rated KPF in the comp almost a third of the way through the season.

Not even Daicos or Sheezel ranked anywhere near as highly as this in their respective positions in their winning seasons.

He's been very good. Rated him highly and I still stand by my comment earlier this season that he's the most important pillar of whether your rebuild is successful or not. All the seasons of neglecting a key position post is forgiven if this guy lives up to his very obvious potential.
That being said, North have had some very soft kills. The next six weeks or so the draw starts to hit a rough patch. If Cooper can keep his form up against the likes of Geelong, Sydney, Adelaide and Freo, he should deservedly be favourite for the RS.

Grlj has been good this season and I know Saints put up 101, but Josh Lindsay not getting this weeks nom is actually robbery.

Grjl had been very good this season and again on Friday night.
Lindsay played well yesterday and seems to have taken that role of kicking out after a point, showing the confidence the coaching staff have in his kicking.
Reminds me of Salem.
Personally think both will be solid players for their clubs.

Yeah I think it’s just the continual debate of whether Rising Star noms are season or by round. Often come out with nominations like this one where it’s not the best of the round but it’s just earnt over a period.

W.Duursma is the club house leader by a fair way i reckon.
He's been magnificent this year. I thought given his frame he might take a bit of time to emerge but he has been outstanding.

Im surprised theu have it to Grlj tbh. We've been on the other end of so many of these calls the last few years.
Still, kick on play ons shouldn't count as a diapisal, just as regular kick ins don't. All it does is inflate disposal counts for no good reason and cause issues like this one.

Minis asked him to go in and play the middle which is huge for a first season player. Still think he’s most damaging as a winger who roams the arcs and attacks the forward 50.
I like Lindsay and can see him becoming a Lindsay Gilbee type of weapon. Probably not a midfielder but a nice modern day weapon behind the footy.
But to say it’s robbery that Grlj gets a nod is pretty average.

Robbery if rising star is a week by week thing which they paint it to be. Lindsay’s game was blatantly better than Grlj’s.
It’s just that they force themselves into this by not giving nominations when they should, Grlj should’ve had R1, he’s got this one off of the last 6 weeks worth of games.
No doubt in my mind he should have one already

Disagree with the statement about Lindsay’s game being that much better but anywho.
They’ll both have their handfuls this weekend with some handy small forwards on each side.

I would agree with this
Love Grlj and he has had a great start to his career but for this weeks performance i would agree Lindsay had a better more impactful game.
the 101 point loss has shat on his chance to get the nomination imo

GRLJ had 21 disposals at 86% DE for 61 fantasy points
Lyndsay had 31 disposals at 91.3% DE for 97 fantasy points.
Just going of that though to pick a round nominee from this round, well mmmmmm. Take your pick.

Jagga has gone from an unbackable favorite before r1 to 2nd in line after Duursma ($1.90, which is WAY too short this far out) now.
Sam Cumming could give it a nudge if he plays out the season, even though he hasn't got a nom yet. It will come.

Rising Star betting is usually bad value because it's just on selector vibes at the end of the day.
Jagga had all the early season hype and a lot of people went way early on it and now Duurs has that but it's just one injury from changing the whole face of it.
I think they've got the top 3 right atm, just the odds for Duursma are way too short.
1. Duursma
2. Smith
3. Trembath
There's a clear gap after those 3 currently. Smith and Trembath hard to split right now IMO, but unless Jagga gets back to stringing 25+ disposal games together he will probably keep drifting. If he's not racking up huge numbers, he is just not a noticeable player unlike Trembath and Duursma.
