What is it now. Fifteen of the last seventeen GF's have been won by Vic teams (88%) and 9 of the 11 Vic vs non-vic GF's have been won by the home state team (81%).

We would have to build an extraordinary list to win a GF especially if we are playing a Vic team. Our list would have to be 10% better then the Vic team.

IMO Geelong are on the cliff. Wouldn't surprise me if we broke that 20 year drought at the next opportunity.
Like us , lets see who they get in

200+ 8
150+ 4
100+ 9
50+ 5
0-49 18 ( 12 played at least 1 game)

Thats not too bad - its how you rate the 13 between 100 and 200 games

Carey‘s first pre-season with the club was horribly botched (another feather in the AFC’s cap).

He said that the club was obsessed with running and had him do more running than he’d ever done his whole career, and he blew out his back and hamstrings, which plagued him for most of that year.

He still played pretty well despite that, the skills and the nous were still there… he just wasn’t robust anymore, the body wouldn’t allow it.

This podcast uploaded a just few days ago might be of interest. From 19:18 he talks about the training at Adelaide

We definitely would have if the game was maybe later in the season.

As as a season opener and the first time in years and years they have missed finals so they start their preseason much earlier, compared to the time when we cooked them up at AO in R1. They will be ready for us.

Having the AA captain suspended absolutely ****ed us.

happens in footy though. And it was definitely worth throwing everything at west coast to win the 4 points on offer in that dead rubber. If we'd rested anybody, we'd have immediately turned into the next Melbourne or Carlton.

With the list/chances we have had, we should have had at least 2 flags since then. 2005/2006 were both a massive ******* utensil up in the final stages of the seasons. Then in 2012 we ****ed it again losing to Sydney at home in the qualifying final....

2017 finally came and we had reached the summit, but for some reason the entire team decided to have their worst game of the season.

pretty confident that wasn't their worst game of the season.
