Tarryn Thomas has given an indication that his time with North Melbourne could be over.

The club stood down the First Nations talent nearly four weeks ago for the third time in his career, asking him also to train away from teammates while the AFL continued to conduct its investigation into further allegations of his inappropriate behaviour.

The AFL Integrity Unit interviewed Thomas on January 29, but that had been delayed for nearly a fortnight until he was in the presence of legal representation.

The probe into new claims of intimidating another woman appears on track to finish this week, and the length of the case that began several weeks ahead of the Kangaroo midfielder speaking to the AFL suggests the integrity unit will deliver a harsh penalty.

But the Lumaranatana and Kamilaroi man may be prepared to expect the worse.

Thomas reportedly has already removed a number of references in regard to his AFL career across multiple social media platforms.

He got rid of any mention of North Melbourne Football Club from his Instagram bio in addition to unfollowing the club in recent days.

The same also occurred on Thomas's Twitter account, including deleting multiple images from his past three seasons.

The Kangaroos, however, at this stage until after the AFL investigation is revealed at least, has not stopped following Thomas online that could be a sign that the club did not want to pre-empt the final outcome.

Thomas has already removed the famous Nike swoosh since the multinational giant purportedly dropped him as a client last year.

Days before the fresh allegations were made public, Thomas wrote on Instagram: "People will talk down on you, just to say they got the one up".

The 23-year-old was soon thereafter accused of making a serious threat to a woman.

Tarryn Trindall, Thomas' legal name, landed in court last year for threatening to distribute an intimate image of his ex-partner. That charge was later withdrawn without conviction after prosecutors downgraded the offence to using a carriage service to harass, while the court granted him a diversion and a fine of $1000 to donate to charity

After the club suspended Thomas twice last year, North's senior officials requested he attend a respect and responsibility education program to learn how to change his behaviour towards women.

The former North Launceston prodigy, who made his senior debut in the Tasmanian State League at just 15, has also been arrested for breaking court orders against his 2023 partner after police searched his phone for the alleged video.

The National Indigenous Times is not suggesting that North Melbourne, nor the AFL, will terminate the contract of Thomas. But should the allegations be proven again, the AFL may be forced to suspend Thomas given his ongoing issues and the administration's strong stance on respecting women.

At this stage, no police investigation or criminal charges have taken place

so if we lose thomas no one can say we have had handouts. we've now lost a pick 1 (yes we got compensated but that's a year wasted), a top 8 pick, finished last 2 years in a row and lost our coach for almost a season during a stage we desparately needed strong leadership. what did we get? 3 second round picks (end of first round picks ARE second round picks).

any big club would've received a start of first round pick and a first other scattered in there.

So you’re telling us this ex partner kept this all quiet when TT was originally being investigated and tried in court for this behaviour. But now has decided to make a complaint about it? Sounds legit. :stern look
Spot on Zondor 🙂👍 so it didn’t come up during court proceedings? Complainant didn’t tell police, her lawyers or AFL then, but did say he did do some nasty things?
Doesn’t make sense? TT went to court was banned from club, had to do education and pay a community fine.
Now we are adding to that?

He has done his time. One bad text or ten bad texts at the time it doesn’t matter if it was 30 texts, he was punished for a pattern of behaviour not each little thing.

Throw this out!

it absolutely does not work that way, and you're just filling in a bunch of unknowns with complete guesses

For those of us who don't get out much due to old age, limited mobility or lack of mental acuity, what's Revs?

I reckon you’d be dancing all night if you got hold of some of the stuff available at Revs…

Jeez... I'd probably end up flat on my back out on the street screaming profanities while trying to take a leak on a planter box.

Death by 1000 cuts.

No doubt he’ll end up at either the Swans or Cats and be all-Australian in 2025.
lve held back for awhile…..and it seems that the outcome coming is going to be &&$##…but this is what’s going to really p&#&# me off…..if he’s forced out of the club and another “ club….insert name” picks him up for doughnuts…..he clicks…they get praised up almighty by this pathetic media for what a wonderful job they have done to “turn his career around” and cue the what a sh*** job the way it was handled at north….conveniently ignoring the many protocols we put in place that we’re broken / followed .

Truly l have no idea if he’s here or gonski…..and its not like we haven’t been accomodating …..
I wish him well with his life if he’s gone….but geez it’s been a polarising ride.

if he were to part ways with the club l don’t believe it should be an automatic transfer onto another clubs list…why the heck should they get a green light all hunky dory yep he can play…….there should be some enforced time off ( personally if it’s what’s been bantered around…then maybe good bye career permanently) that list ….they simply don’t get to slot him in straight away….and some sort of compensation to us….but yeah it’s the AFL not going to happen …but wishful thinking…

Time will tell on what will happen with this kids career……sad to see it playing out like this……

Its going to be jarring to watch him get picked up, probably as a DFA or for a rookie pick, but unless he has stuffed up massively this is the likely outcome.

No doubt Caro and Cornes are besides themselves with excitement

In that at worst case scenario it probably wouldn't feel far off how the Eagles felt with Cousins or the Suns with Bennell. Fans invested in their players and let down, the clubs generally vindicated by making the hard choices to finally sever ties with kids that walked in their doors future ahead.
