Most of this year has been relatively negative, but in all of this crap that we've gone through this year there would be a few positives.

So name the three best you can think of, mine are:
3. Barlow is still good
2. Clarke
1. Quite obvious isn't it :)

Another positive - staying in the top 8 until round 21 despite the worst injury run of the century.

id add lower and griffin to this. both went completely above and beyond expectations

also, given it was the worst injury list in AFL history, chances are next year wont be nearly as bad

only two suspensions all year was pretty decent as well

Two more games in the white v´s.

Maybe they give back the good old jumper we had last year when was all well and dandy and we even won a final and all the fans were rejoicing.

1. Only 2 games left before turning attention to WNBL and A-League

2. Fyfe

3. Clarke

4. SNOS

5. If the song does get changed, I finally get to email the club and unload my true feelings against ********s 1 and 2 (may not achieve anything but I'll feel better for it)

6. Only 2 games left before not having to look at another injury list and curse our never ending bad luck

I wanted to post another 3 positives not mentioned yet in the thread but it gets hard bloody quick, without resorting to sarcasm. With all the injuries there was a real chance for anyone who was fit to earn a place in the starting 22, imo not enough of them took what may be their last chance and too many didn't improve at all which in real terms is moving backwards (plenty of other threads already arguing about why) so...

1 DeBoer, IMO for much of the year looked better than 2010, is working hard on his weaknesses and confident he can improve again in 2012.

2 Faulks, (just barely a positive ) lots of hope that he might have been an instant in for Tarrant but he was well short of being AFL ready when he arrived. Still there's been improvement, he showed some good spoiling ability in his debut and hopefully another full preseason will see him fighting for a spot early next season.

3 Overall our backline is the part of the team that worries me the least, if players like Mcpharlin, Grover and Silvagni hadn't been in such good form we'd have coped some even bigger floggings. It's everything forward of our defensive 50 that's been horrible, we know we have the bulk of the players we need for the midfield (if fit) we just have to figure out how to score.

As above, 3 not yet mentioned:

1. We will be playing 2 less games this year and will be finishing the season with injuries that look to be cleared up just 3 weeks after the end of the season (Matt De Boer 5 weeks away). All the ingredients for a good pre-season for 2012.

2. Antoni Grover, Luke McPharlin and Chris Mayne all had relatively injury-free seasons, Which I for one was not expecting to happen.

3. Broughton looks set for a definite midfield rotation in 2012.

Agree with most of what has been said, I would also like to add in Mellington, I thought his few games were great and with a full pre season should look to hold down a position next year. He is currently the youngest player in the AFL.
