during our trade week our stategy was complex but I think hine was on to something. After st kilda traded their second round pick and we gained sydney's third rounder my strong prediction is that we will pick up cousins with Pick #64 otherwise we would have gone after D.Harris

wat r ur thoughts?

WE NEED A MIDFIELDER!!!!!!!!!

I think you mean pick 46.. and it will depend on a good young player being available at that pick, if not they might roll the dice

We don't have pick #64 and Harris won't be in the draft as he's contracted for 2009.

Regardless I don't see us using a pick in the ND to get Cousins, and Cousins might not even be in the ND.

I don't usually read too much into Patrick Smith's articles at times, but he mentioned in one the other day Cousins may now be looking towards entering the National rather than going straight to the PSD.

We'll find out soon enough.

I guess the most feasible thing to say is that Cousins will put himself in the best position to be drafted by his preferred club, so we'll have to wait and see what he will do.

But I dare say if it's Collingwood and we're not headed to the PSD then he will enter the National.

It will all come out in the coming weeks.

There's still also plenty of time to manage to list.

They may de-list Macaffer and re-draft him at pick 11 in the rookie draft. Who knows.

They may de-list Ben Johnson. Who knows.

Wait and see.

I think you will find he has no choice - one nomination nominates you for both I have ben told. I think this might be a new riule.

There is no new rule, the AFL has stated that if Cousins jumped through all their hoops he can nominate just for the PSD is he so wishes.

He doesn't need the November draft as he knows clubs are chasing him.
