I think it's a bit of both, motivation is low due to how we are playing & I don't think he is 100% and also think he is clearly in heavy decline atm.Dusty might also be carrying an injury too throughout the season so far? Or he is genuinely cooked too.
AgreeDo not send him to the Gabba

You heard it here first. Retires right after his 300th.
I hope so because he doesn't owe us anything, is a champion of the club and hasn't got anything left in the tank. You heard it here first. Retires right after his 300th.
Morale surely couldn’t get any lower than it already is.Surely he wouldn’t pull the pin mid season.
Imagine the morale drop if he did.
Ralph Carr ain't fooling anyone anymore, he will be lucky to play on at Richmond with an extension let alone another club be interested in him.Dustin Martin’s manager Ralph Carr has begun gauging interest in his player with rival clubs despite the likelihood the Richmond legend will retire or play out his career at Punt Rd.
Martin has expressed to teammates that while he is still enjoying his time at Richmond his motivation to train and play no longer reaches the heights of the club’s premiership years.
Martin can no longer train with the same intensity as he battles soft-tissue complaints including the calf issues that have seen him miss two games this year.
Carr told the Herald Sun in March he and Martin would sit down at year’s end to consider the unrestricted free agent’s future.
Clubs are aware they would likely have to offer him a two-year deal on good money well above $500,000 a year and at this stage have reservations about that kind of contract.
They are aware Martin is mentally fatigued and wonder if he can find that fire in the belly as he turns 33 next month.
I think its the hunger to an extent. 2017 when he was after the mega contract he was immense. Now? From my news he is loaded, invested in property in Richmond with Carr. Its hard when you get old anyways but to match youth with financiial gain? If we get a good offer we should snap it up.If he's not fit, rest him. If he is fit, tell him to enjoy retirement after the season.
The feeling is mutual if not surely he will play forward for the rest of his footy life. He goes hard for a quarter and a half then is exhausted eg early days when starting. You heard it here first. Retires right after his 300th.
