Have to disagree with you on this. He tested top 10 for agility in his draft year. He's plenty quick.

2.98 or 2.99, can't remember which one but it was definitely one of those.Pretty slow group.
But that does surprise me. I still dont see him as a quick 20m sprinter. What was his 20m time?

Fair enough that is very solid hopefully maintained with the size he has added. I still wouldnt call it a strength but its not a problem.2.98 or 2.99, can't remember which one but it was definitely one of those.
Reminds me of another tall former Northern Knights midfielder...
That's the oneThe Bont?
That's the one
Has grown to 193cm according to the lad himself.
Langfords engine is fine, tackling is one of his strengths and his speed + agility are elite for his size. His contested game will never be in the top notch, but you ideally have him as second/third receiver out of a stoppage to utilise his kicking.Needs to develop engine, contested game, tackling and sped to be anything like Bont.
If hes half as good as what Bont will be then ill be happy. Bonts that good IMO.

Mostly because I see more value in him being a balanced midfielder (ala Pendlebury) to use his skills as opposed to a JPK/Cunnington type who is focused purely on winning contested possessions and has little role on the outside. His mongrel is fine IMO, his courage and intent to crunch an opponent when tackling signals that increased physicality won't be an issue for him.Out of curiosity why don't you see him developing a top notch contested game? Lack of mongrel? Because from what I've seen he reads the taps reasonably well.

There all well behind Bont and thats what we were discussing
Langfords engine is only smaller than Bonts because he has completed one less pre season (both ran 14 beeps in the u18's). Bont is an excellent tackler and is easily above Langford based on last year (although the extra size will help him close the gap) and Langford smashes Bont for acceleration, although I think their top speeds are relatively similar (Langford probably just above). There all well behind Bont and thats what we were discussing
He's nothing like Bontempelli.
