Do you think Hayes will play in the seniors soon? Obviously being from the vfl side he doesn't need the general 'learn our system' time. Need sure of carlton list needs so I thought I'd ask

Has been “dominant” in the seconds, arguably our best midfielder (Dow and Carroll earlier in that mix). You don’t draft a 27yo player who plays a role you have depth in and leave them in the twos. Expect him to get a run on a wing very soon. Has missed a couple of VFL games with injury, so may not be immediate, but just has to continue his form to get a run soon.

Is he currently injured now or was a few weeks ago?

Not much known regarding that due to being a VFL player, might have just been 'injured' but actually just held out to ensure other clubs are interested. Should know more early next week when the injury report comes out to see if he's on it or not

Carlton told Hayes they wouldn't draft him unless he was injured.

Pretty sure...

To repeat myself from much earlier posts, for those unaware.

Will Hayes is the brother of Ben and J.D. Hayes, sons of David and Group 1 winners in their own right. Will actually is in charge of the day to day running of the Flemington stables, while his brothers concentrate on the Euroa headquarters. He pretty much just has to say the word to become a equal partner in a very lucrative operation.

The young man is very clearly determined to explore all options to forge a successful AFL career. Many would also be unaware that he also has a development coaching position within our VFL program. Not your average battler profile.

Would love the bloke to finish his career a premiership player with the mighty Blues.
Wow, did not know this, particularly the development position…
Wonderful story and such a good reward for him with all the hard work application & dedication he has put into it… 👍
