it’s all about stability. We know exactly what we’re going to get.

  • more kick outs than he should have.
  • feigning one way on those kick outs then going the other way short and into the pocket.
  • handing the ball off to a kid to make it their problem because he can’t make a decision
  • calling for the ball at around 12m from the kicker
  • kicking the ball about 12m to a kid
stability.

It sure makes me want to stab something.
i can only assume the plan is to put immediate pressure back on the backline to build resilience.

In September last year Daniel to Manager. Hit the phones and land me the best possible deal your can.

Clarko/Rawlings/Viney/Hood/Watt - pull out the Champers. Got him with pick #25 and did a job on those Doggies.

Clarko is the one who recruited him and stubornly keeps playing him,he also either directly or indirectly pushed for the trade to happen ,no matter what, which was pick 25,people who think that people like Rawlings and thursfield are independantly making these decisions on these types of players under Clarko are fooling themselves.
To add to this, that is the potential fallout when coaches like Clarko and Lyon are allowed free reign in all aspects of football dept.

I'm not sure I've seen anyone say that Rawlings and Thursfield were behind this one. Whilst the ridiculous trade is down to Rawlings, the want for Daniel clearly came from Clarko. Ultimately though, Viney is the one who needs to wear the blame. He oversees both departments and should make sure that Clarko stays in his lane. Clarko isn't doing such a good as coach that he can start doing other people's jobs as well.

Basically, Clarko was both acting outside his role and clueless, Rawlings was cowardly and incompetent, and Viney was totally f...ing useless.

firstly not defending Rawlings,i am not a fan of all ,but to say he was not blamed for this by not one person,i only had to go to first page of thread to find this 1754016978662.png

That is blaming him for the ridiculous overpay, which he should be blamed for.

under his title of course he takes the heat on the final outcome, the guy is merely a puppet and clearly not a good negotiator, but when a strong character like Clarko says i want this guy and you dont deliver? let the answer to that arise on its own.

With Daniel I think if we are gonna keep playing him, at the very least it would make sense to try him in different positions

You've lost me. Is the answer we get Jack Whitlock instead of Caleb Daniel?

maybe read the question again,if you understood it correctly then not sure why Jack Whitlock gets mentioned,if so then you are assuming Rawlings would undermine Clarko,i do not see that happening.

Undermine Clarko? I think you have it backwards. Clarko isn't Rawlings's boss, Viney is. Clarko was undermining Rawlings and Rawlings lacked the spine to tell him to stick to his own job.

think what you like if it makes you happy, the real boss vs the one with the title does not apply here,if we had an astute board and president we would not allow the coach to pick the general manager

u could tell in the preseason that it wasn’t gonna work, most of the time when he pulled off a creative kick he would have to tell the person where to move before and i was quite big on the trade because he’s leadership was awsome and he still brings that but it’s clearly not working on game day, would much prefer tommy powell back there. can’t defend and our team don’t move for his creative kicks. not a good combo.

I found a way to defend the trade too.

Ha. What an idiot
