For me the obvious one is that they have to be attractive - I have to be attracted to someone initially to spark my interest. Once the initial attraction is there then it is up to her other traits whether I continue to be interested in her.

Secondly, they need to be a classy girl; admittedly this is a double standard, but as soon as a girl swears a shiver runs down my spine. Being crude just about brings a tear to my eye. Having some self-respect and restraint works wonders.

Thirdly, they need to be intelligent and worldly. There is nothing worse than listening to a naive person go on a rant about something they clearly know nothing about. When that person is your girlfriend it is made so much worse. Being able to hold a conversation about something other than gossip is an added benefit.

Which probably leads to the fourth; humility. It's pretty hard to be intimate with someone who is judgemental and self-serving.

Lastly, they need to be a genuinely nice person.

Reading through this it makes me sounds like a judgemental so and so, but I suppose if I want to spend the rest of my life with someone it can't hurt to aim high.

Personality - has to be addictive and NOT irritating after a long time.
Smart - Would ideally like someone that has a bit of intelligence, and not dumb as a post.
Humour - Ideally laughs at my jokes, and bounces off jokes on her own
Looks - Not in a supermodel 10/10 way, but has to have a look about her that i find attractive. In a cute girl next door way etc.

Bonus points if they can cook and clean


I have someone in mind that fits the bill at present, only friends at this stage, potential for more though..... i hope .
