Really? With 5 games to go that would probably have him near enough to leading
Sorry, I mean I think he'll end up with that amount.

Danger would already be be in the 20's

I cant see him getting that many without getting 4 3s, his last 3 weeks have probably his best 3 matches and probably only got 4 votes in total.

I think he'll poll a few 2's.

I may be vastly over estimating though

Would be surprised if he cracked double figures.
Really?

I think in games we have been admirable he'll get 1-2 votes.

Possibly 3 against Saints, depending if Stevens gets them.

I'd say 7 potential vote games so far, based both on his performance and that of the team. However, there might be the odd game where we still get slapped but he was just immense, like against Freo.

Rd 2 vs Melbourne
Rd 4 vs Geelong
Rd 8 vs North
Rd 13 vs GWS
Rd 16 vs St Kilda
Rd 17 vs Richmond
Rd 18 vs Brisbane

I mean, he's really good so he might but it's his first year getting real media plaudits and we've won one game.
I wouldn't be surprised either way. He'll poll more later in the season as he was getting media attention then.

I'd put him around 15-18 votes for the year

We've won one game this season. The team will be lucky to get 15 - 18 votes for the year. The closest equivalent to our current season was 2013 with Melbourne and GWS. They polled 16 and 17 votes respectively that season.

It's quite unlikely that he will make double figures.

Not necessarily..
We have a terrible team in which Zach's class stands out and is amplified to the umps..
Similar to how Priddis won a lot of votes in 2014..

West Coast won 11 games in 2014, there is nothing similar about our 1 win season.

Or Watson in 2012. The main problem with your theory is that West Coast won 11 games in 2014. Meanwhile, Essendon this season has been one of the least competitive teams in the past two decades.

If you jump on the AFL Brownlow Predictor it indicates that Merrett is likely on seven votes and the team is likely to have received 17 votes so far.

Unless you are Gary Ablett, umpires are going to largely ignore your performance, no matter how good, when your team gets smashed.
