Training in Utah could be a massive help this week.

Interesting.
Obviously we're running games out much better this year, if the cold weather training helps us out this week we should definitely continue with Utah next year.

I'm heading up there for the big game with 7 of my mates. I'm packing the thermals, that's a monty. And will hit the solarium after the game to rediscover my mojo, before hitting the casino if anyones interested?

I've never seen it snow in Tassie, aside from being on Cradle Mountain or Ben Lomond.

I have a couple of times when I was living further south in Nubeena. Most of the mountains down in Hobart get more than a liberal sprinkle in winter though. God this state needs to get it's shit together. Mt Wellington is great resource for us to have in winter, but it's such a bitch to get to. Really need to get a quality cable car going up there and a nice cafe/restaurant on the top.

Agreed, although I rarely make it down to the south. In saying that, Hobart (as a city) kicks shit through Launnie. ;)

Casino could be good, just a pain that it'd be a good 20+ minute drive from the oval after the game. Although..... one of the ferry's from Bellerive may be going direct to Wrest Point, which could be an adventure in and of itself.

It's possible Arthur might be extracting it a bit there D.

But as long as I'm on a meetup roll,

Coming down for the game. Staying with Mother-in-law on the Eastern Shore (Lindisfarne) but will be in the company of a bro-in-law who lives in North Hobart. So could arrange to head to the ground from either side. Anyone for a jar or two pre- or post-game? Knopwoods and take the ferry over? Something back from the docks a bit like the New Sydney? Or Eastern shore (anything but the Beltana)?

So soft. It isn't cold while it is still above zero. Even then.

I was at the New Year's Edinburgh derby this year. 7PM kick off.

Git your baws oot yir Ma's mooth and gonnae tae the game likesay.

I remember it snowed once when i was walking home from Primary School back in the mid 90's
Don't think i've seen snow on Mt Wellington once this winter, has probably been a warmer than average one this year.

You get more snow on Chapel Street.

hahahahahahahaha

Despite common belief it rarely snows at sea level in Hobart, problem with being a coastal city.
Still cold though, will be wearing a beanie myself!

Problem?

I consider it a benefit not putting up with snow!

Will be chilly on Sat, 11 might happen for a millisecond but the majority of the arvo is likely to be a fair bit colder.

Pack for around the 6 or so range. Can always take a layer off if you don't need it.
