This is how depth works, it's nice. Means no one plays unless they're fit, and in form, and better than guys already in the AFL side.

Imagine a scenario where a fit and ready to play Shiel is forced to play VFL because our AFL side is strong enough to keep him out?

It's true. Can't help feeling a bit sorry for Shiel though. I'm hoping it's form that pushes him out rather than injuries.

Dylan Shiel is also progressing well in his recovery from a foot injury, with the midfielder continuing to build his on-field running volumes with the aim of commencing agility work and reintegration into training next month.
