To any one of the Swans fans on this board who is filthy about the loss to the Dogs. Open your eyes of the bright future our boys will have from now on in. For the teams in the finals we were fielding a side with a lot of injuries. Brashaw's kicking obviously was hampered by that knee and just a few signs of finals inexperience.

We played a great match, should we of let that lead die? No.
But there is always next season to strengthen our side and put a bit of experience onto everyone of the guys we had out there tonight.

I wish for everyone Swans supporter on this board to give a round of applause to the Swans...

And onwards to victory!

I was almost scared to come on here and read the messages but I am glad to see someone else thinking like I am. There is no darkness in front of us we will only improve. Mcglynn is bloody scary I wish he would stop throwing himself head first into contests. Thought for sure he was going to re injure his cheek again.

Jetta looked great today especially in the last quarter and JPK simply brilliant. Hanners our rising star. Our young brigade will be super.

Yeah I've been very loud about the umpiring but at the end of the day our young blokes have impressed me the whole year. Even in the lowest parts of the season (e.g. against Melbourne) I thought our young guys all stood up. I've been saying all year how much I love Jack. He is easily in my top 3 favourite currently playing Swans. I think Pykey has progressed rapidly and when he gains more confidence in his kicking he'll be an awsome team member. Jesse has had his critics but I thought his last few games were good and he played a very important role well. Mummy has been in all aust form and is often mentioned in the top 3 or 4 ruckmen. Jetta is so quick, smooth and exciting, adding another dimension to our team. JPK has been amazing. He's a bloody clearance machine! Big and strong, he & Jack will be what our midfield is based on in the future. Oh, and obviously our rising star in Hanners has been a revelation. He just runs and runs and is hard at it. I love the way these boys go about it all.

I'm excited and really proud of our boys. Really looking foward to next year... Cheer cheer everyone, we have every right to do so.

Hanners, Jetta, Jack, McVeigh, Goodes, Mumford making up our midfield. Holy cow, what's not to like?

An extremely bright future ahead for the swans.

Bad luck Swans - was hoping you could do it for the non-vic teams and Kirk. Much respect for Kirk (will never forget his selfless acts) and very impressed by Kennedy who has really developed. Kennedy reminded me of one of our favs, namely, M. Pavlich when playing in the middle. Also pleased with Jetta's development and glad you guys grabbed him instead of WCE.

Very proud of the team tonight! Perhaps we lost it by playing a few too many injured players.
Bevo in for O'Keefe may have made the difference.
But none the less, what a rewarding ride these guys have given us over the last 8 years under Roos & Kirk.

Kennedy.......amazing!

Future............bring it on!!:)

absolutely...bring on the future. Thanks to Kirky and Roosy for everything, it's definantly a sad day but the impact these 2 have had on the club will last forever. Looking forward to next season under the Horse John Longmire. Very proud of the teams efforts this season.

for all those who couldn't attend the match and haven't read the footy record, you should, a few could articles in there http://www.aflrecord.com.au/

Its been a great ride this year. The boys have put in an effort that has seen us achieve much more than this Swannie thought possible...The disappointment of Saturday doesnt last too long when you start thinking about the possibilites for next year..... The off season is just too long.

Fully fit and firing, Bring on 2012....
