I haven't seen a lot of Essendon games, but Prismall has impressed me. It's unfair to Monfries but I'm voting Prismall.

Obviously I'm biased, I voted for Prismall. Monfries is good but he is not Brent Harvey, and thus at his size he will struggle to really establish himself as a top line midfielder... he isn't quite cut out to be a great goal sneak either. Prismall's skills are better, and in his limited game time, has demonstrated an ability to kick goals.

Monfries, there is nothing to suggest Prismall is better at this stage. And as for Prismalls skills being better, he did kick 2 goals on the weekend but gus has extreemly good skills. He is easy my choice.

I already did get closer than 1/2 a foot. 1/2 a foot is 15cm... I suggest you get your brain tested Kaiser you tree stump.

Besides, if you read my post carefully you will realise that I never actually suggested they were the same size... did i? That's right. I suggested that Brent Harvey is a rare example of a player who though small in stature (be it short or skinny), still has a damaging presence on the field. Monfries is over 180cm but he is a featherweight and plays as such. He is not powerful, he is not especially quick and will always struggle just a little bit too much in high pressure football to become a gun player. Prismall might not make it either... it's top early to tell. I was merely explaining why I voted for who I did.

Yeah I've watched him play. Great footy Brain I agree. I just haven't deemed him to be damaging or dynamic. I stated at the very beggining my opinion was due partly to bias. And that's all I'm doing, expressing my opinion.

When I said, 'he is no Brent Harvey' I was referring to Brent Harvey's ability to be a standout player despite the fact that he is small. There are many players who are good but just lack a bit of height or weight to be consistently great. Monfries is one of these, as is shannon burns for Geelong if that gives you an indication of the type of player I'm referring to. IMO monfires has some weapons but lacks the full repotoire.

BTW when I said Harvey plays bigger than what he is I meant his game is more damaging than what his appearance suggests.... have you ever heard of that phenomenon??? It's not the size of the dog in the fight it's the size of the fight in the dog... you know??

Yeah great point! Both have entered the AFL differently: Monfries was a sink or swim due to Essendon's performances and the standard or their midfield whereas Prismall has been eased into the shallow waters...

Both will be quality players for their respective clubs.
