Alot of mates have been saying to me Daisy is only going well this year because he is in a team that has been flying.

Tonight IMO he was by so far our best player it was not funny. On a night when others did not want to he put his head over it time and time again. In a night where others fumbled he was 1 touch all night. In a night where others continually turned it over he did not.

He proved tonight he is so much more than a front running attacking player. Ive always been a masive fan but to me good players play well regardless of how there teamates are playing and he proved he can play well in all circumstances.

Well done Daisy!!

agree 100% ... he has taken a massive step forward
him and pendles were great, although i get frustrated with pendles looking to handball off all the time when he has a few steps free to move forward

also, did you notice how clean and one touch sidey was all night? his hands were great

Great game from Daisy, our most consistent and "cleanest" player over the 4 quarters.

Great goal in the last, and really kept going all night.

One of the very few who is in career best form.

He just seems to have taken his game to another level, pity some of his team mates can't.

Yes. Good thread! We were bad, and losses will happen and we'll get over it. Daisy was sensational tonight. Hard footballer. Has been for as long time too.

Thought he was certainly in our best few, behind Harry O. Had a really good game. Should not have kicked that ridiculous snap facing away from goal that hit a Lions player on his own in the square, but that's the only blemish I can think of.

Taken the next step this year, hopefully he keeps on improving.

Still needs to stop going for the impossible (all the random snap attempts tonight) but apart from that he has been very good.

Was close to BOG tonight. Was by far and away our best player. Developing into something very special.

****ing brilliant! Best on ground for Collingwood, and a career high 34 possessions (second most on the ground, only behind Luke Power on 35) and they were very good possessions as well. That idiotic "downhill skier" myth has been proven false tonight.

I'm so stoked with how he has been going this season!:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Makes this loss feel even worse when Daisy runs his guts out and gets 34 touches but we still lose. Hate when we lose can't listen to the radio because all the flogs get on and won't buy the paper as i know we'll get smashed in it. Still can't work out how we lost we seem to have the game in our hands. As soon as they got the momentum we failed like last week. Really really disappointing :(

Daisy is 100% Better this season, he's getting the ball, making clear plays (Effective handballing, kicking, etc.), kicking some goals at crucial points and he has the run through the wing like he should have had 3 years ago.

Dale Thomas was terrific! He didn't have enough mates, and I thought he was best on the ground.

Daisy was great last night, a bright light on a very ordinary night. I was sceptical he would ever be the kind of player that would rack up possies in the 30's. He seems to be playing a lot smarter, his hurt factor has gotten better too. I wonder if we will look back at 2009 as the making of Daisy the complete player?

He was excellent last night, and is certainly getting a lot more of the ball this year. Prior to this year his PB for disposals was 25. This year he equaled that in Round 2, and has since surpassed it 3 more times.

Not his best game as far as skills or decision-making goes, but his effort last night was unsurpassed and he once again got a heap of it.

Having a terrific season.

Definitely the shining light yesterday. His skills can only get more polished as he gets more mature; backing him to fufill all the hype placed upon him.

Pendles, Thomas, Sidebottom, Beams and to a lesser extent Wellingham. What a midfield we have for the future. Just need to find another tough hard in and under. Hopefully Barham and MacCarthy can really impove, maybe we can recruit some more mids in future drafts of that callibre.

Thomas looks like he may well develop into an A grader after all.
