I hope you think no less of me for acknowledging it, given Bombergal hadn't. Not the sort of thing I'd let go through to the keeper. The post deserved some form of reply. On reflection, I'm glad I did, given Bombergal was unaware of it until now. Not being in full possession of the facts then, as I now am, I was limited in what I could say.
Suffice to say, I think this behaviour by KP is abominable, but given his track record, not in any way surprising.

I hear alot of peole saying things like " back in the day alot of bitches died giving birth" and using that as a reason not to make abortion illegal.
Well I'm just wondering, don't you think there is a correlation between hoe "back in the day" you could have 10 kids, and only 4 make it to age 10, and the women dying while giving birth? I mean maybe the reason the women died is because she had so many kids? And look at how "advanced" or medical has come along since then.. I reckon this just became a lame excuse to support abortion.
God, i pray that you would please put and end to abortion! Please stop the murdering of innocent babies! Oh God, raise up those who will speak up for the unborn. Have mercy on us God for our wickedness. our sin is great.

Access to the four tests that help detect if a foetus has Down syndrome varies widely ... leading to stark differences in birth and termination rates...
“Euan Wallace, professor of obstetrics at Monash University, said: ‘In
Australia in 2008 every single woman should be offered and have access to state-of-the-art screening tests irrespective of age.’... Professor Wallace said NSW Health's age-based policy is ‘15 years out of date and not good public health policy.’”
This is rank eugenics. Germans in the 1930s called it racial hygiene. Not long ago, it was considered the worst sort of bigotry. Not today, apparently because "the experts" tell us so.
Babies with Down won't be the only casualties of this pogrom, either.
Making these tests universal will also result in the unintended deaths of babies that would have been born without a disability. As I noted in a previous SHS post:
“Two healthy babies are miscarried for every three Down Syndrome babies that are detected and prevented from being born, research has suggested...”
Oh well, just collateral damage in the "urgently" needed effort to cleanse Australia from the scourge of the sweetest human beings who walk on the planet Earth.

That's not an explanation for the beginnings of christianity I've heard before. It certainly bears examination though. On first reading, it may even appear to bolster the argument against abortion.
Because Mary said 'yes' to god, Jesus was born. Because Mary said 'no' to abortion, god was born. If Mary had said 'no' to god, there would have been no Jesus. If Mary had said 'yes' to abortion there would have been no god.
Where would we all be then?
Nah, on reflection, I still think abortion was appropriate in this case. The child never had a chance. A father who was able to be convinced that he had nothing to do with the child's conception, and a peasant mother who didn't understand the process which made her pregnant. He was doomed to hang out with fishermen and prostitutes and die an early, violent death at the hands of the state.
Further, he developed neurotic delusions of grandeur to such an extent that he wandered around telling everyone he was the son of god. I wonder how Joseph felt about having his paternity denied. It appears he was callous and cruel to his father as well.
No self-respecting doctor would have denied Mary an abortion.

I have subsequently a life altering news that reinforces my original standpoint.
On the 13th of January 2009, my mother called for a family meeting. I presumed we had won the lottery or Mum or Dad had cancer. Unfortunately and fortunately respectively, it was neither.
My mother had been contacted by her son that she gave up for adoption before I was even born. My Dad knew early on into their relationship, but they had chosen to keep it from my brother and I, and to allow the adopted son the free will to not know his lineage should he so choose.
But he has made contact this month and I have had a half brother introduced into my life like a Neighbours or Home & Away writer has decided to spice up the script!
The most poignant sentence in his initial letter was this: "Thank you for giving me life.".
At the time, Mum would have not had any choice but to adopt the child out or get an abortion. Single motherhood had a horrific stigma. So she chose to adopt the baby out, and frankly, he has landed on his feet wonderfully.
In Australia, adopting a child is exceedingly difficult. There are huge waiting lists and innumerable quality candidates willing and able to grant the child the best possible shot at a good life. There are very good supports for those who choose this path.
Undoubtedly, I still favour clinical abortions for those who of their own volition consider it their only option. However, you don't need to be spiritually inclined to understand possible positive causes and effects from carrying the child to term and offering him or her to what will most likely be a good home. My newly extended family is sufficient proof of this.
