Actually, our defense numbers were incredibly strong and our biggest issue this year was being scored on from turnovers. No ....understand where you're coming from, and in principle agree
But you can't have a team full of slow / quick thinking players ......legspeed will break you open, and we've seen that with other clubs streaming thru our midfield on transition, making our players look like witch's hats
Ok offensively ....a liability trying to defend ....this is the archilles heel of GEEL in Finals
That’s because they suck and Martin isn’t fit, huge difference to them when he’s playingThey're refusing to actually play the rucks they have, so I doubt it.
Ruckman don't win you flags

It’s little bit of each isn’t it?Actually, our defense numbers were incredibly strong and our biggest issue this year was being scored on from turnovers.
Don't need (near) the best ruckman in the AFL, but sides have lost flags with poor ruckmen... so need a half decent one.Ottens is a LONG time ago, and Nankervis is just a solid battler
Didn't he play in the 2017 grand final?Ottens is a LONG time ago, and Nankervis is just a solid battler
Was that because both Crouch's didn't play .....both were terrible defensivelyActually, our defense numbers were incredibly strong and our biggest issue this year was being scored on from turnovers.
Assuming this is a redhorse jab?Luke Parker to the Crows is a very real thing
Why? 28 years old. He's good, sure, but we would probably have to give up a reasonable amount.Luke Parker to the Crows is a very real thing
Why would we go after such a player as good as he is - he is late 20's and not in the demographic of a rebuildLuke Parker to the Crows is a very real thing
To replace the non-premiership experience we lost with premiership experience. Why would we go after such a player as good as he is - he is late 20's and not in the demographic of a rebuild

I wouldn't ship pick 4 or our 2022 1st in its current form, but if we split it into a couple of later first rounders, I'd be happy to move one of thoseHopefully this doesn't mean shifting any of our first round picks to Sydney
Nah. Need that top end elite talent from the draft.I wouldn't ship pick 4 or our 2022 1st in its current form, but if we split it into a couple of later first rounders, I'd be happy to move one of those
Hey tom, who do you think adelaide crows will bring in? Cheers mate
They are looking for SA talent. Dawson fits that perfectly. They are not keen on Dumont. They also want to keep some cash to spend for JL and IR next year from GC.
Will one of Dawson and Stephenson from Sydney end up at Adelaide?
Potentially both! Swans more open to Stephens leaving than Dawson.
As long as it doesn't include pick 4 or next years 1st, I'm in.Morris - "Adelaide shifting heaven and earth for Dawson"
pick 4 and the Melbourne 2nd for Dawson, Stephens and pick 12 - playstation time!!As long as it doesn't include pick 4 or next years 1st, I'm in.
And you've nailed why. He's good enough to be worthwhile to support a rebuild.
