But you can't have a team full of slow / quick thinking players ......legspeed will break you open, and we've seen that with other clubs streaming thru our midfield on transition, making our players look like witch's hats

Pace pace pace - looks great but can they get hold of the footy. Can they use it. Seen plenty of very quick players fail. Getting obsessed with 1 particular trait seems a bit narrow.

Don't need (near) the best ruckman in the AFL, but sides have lost flags with poor ruckmen... so need a half decent one.

I think ROB is good enough.

And he's a free agent so doesn't compromise our rebuild through the draft.

They are looking for SA talent. Dawson fits that perfectly. They are not keen on Dumont. They also want to keep some cash to spend for JL and IR next year from GC.

Will one of Dawson and Stephenson from Sydney end up at Adelaide?

Potentially both! Swans more open to Stephens leaving than Dawson.

Locks in our midfield for 3 years anf they'll all retire at once. Rebuild to fall into the 8 and start again with a brand new midfield in 3 years time. Pretty much what I expected given our lack of appetite to move past existing mids. Crouch out Parker in, fantastic for Nicks as there's no change.
