'Adopt A Player' - Nominations

I've been looking over some of the opposition boards lately and one thing I noticed was that a few of the clubs have been working with this concept, 'Adopt A Player', and has looked to be quite successful for them.

Now to clearly define what the term 'Adopt A Player' means. It's where you are assigned one, or in some cases a couple of players, to look after for the year. Throughout the year, them posters that have put their hands up follow that player closely and post injuries, match reports, articles on them, etc.

One thing I do want to make even clearer though is we only want regular BigFooty users involved. If you are a person that logs in once every six months, then you can dismiss this concept straight off the bat. You can gladly view the threads, as that's what they're there for, but please don't put your hand up if you know within yourself that you can't carry through with regular updates on that certain player/s.

In this thread though, we're only looking for nominations. If you're keen and are a regular BF user, you are more than welcome to join in on making the board that little bit more full of quality. If we do get enough people interested, I will create a seperate thread and then we can start picking and choosing players from there. If we don't, well then we can just sweep this concept straight back under the carpet.

I'd be interested but being in Adelaide I don't get to many live games.

If I just had a player who is going to be in the firsts every week so I can watch them on TV I'd be very interested.

Looks like there's some good interest in this concept. If we can gather another half a dozen participants or so, I'll start another thread and we can start picking and choosing who we want.

As a reminder, as it says in the first post, picking players is worthless in this thread. In the next thread I make, as I said, that's when we can start picking.
