That article states that they have re-signed, which was never in dispute. What it doesn't tell us is the length of their new contracts. We're all assuming that they're 2-year contracts, but that's just an assumption based on previously observed behaviour by the club.
Need to remove Patty's current contract ending 2010 on first post mate.
Fixed. :thumbsu:
I think Jacky signed a contract last year. I'm not sure about Moran.
When does Porplyzia's contract run out?
Jacky definitely signed on for 2 years at the end of 2009. It was the strangest, most bizarre, contract decision since they did the same thing with KMac a few years earlier.

Not sure about Moran, but I'm guessing his contract expires this year. It would be a tough call to give him the axe, noting that he was performing well in the senior team right up to the point where he got injured last year. He rushed his rehab because of a burning desire to be a part of the finals action last year, making his injury worse in the process. This time around he's done the rehab right, not rushing things like he did before.

If we want an extra player to cut, then Moran would appear to be the easy target, as a fringe player who hasn't made any contribution in 2010. His fate depends upon how many rookies we upgrade and how many selections we want to use in the draft.

Not sure about Porplyzia's contract off the top of my head.

The following information has been provided to me by "Billy Bob65". I can't be 100% certain about the quality of his information, but it's better than anything the club's publicly released in the last few years:
Outside of the rookies, I have the following players as definitely being out of contract this season:

- Tony Armstrong
- Myke Cook
- Mick Doughty
- Jack Gunston
- Matthew Jaensch
- Graham Johncock
- Brad Moran
- Andy Otten
- Brent Reilly
- Sam Shaw
- Scott Stevens
- Daniel Talia
- Bernie Vince
- Taylor Walker

For 2012 I have the following out of contract:
- Patrick Dangerfield
- Ricky Henderson
- Jared Petrenko
- Rory Sloane
- Kurt Tippett

The following re-signed last year for either 1 or 2 years:
- Brodie Martin
- Luke Thompson

The following signed/re-signed last year for either 2 or 3 years (most of them probably signed for 2):
- Richard Douglas
- Sam Jacobs
- Chris Knights
- David Mackay
- Ben Rutten
- Richard Tambling
- Scott Thompson (fairly certain I read something about the deal putting him out of reach of GWS which would mean 3 years)

The rest of these guys I have no information on:
- Phil Davis (presumably out of contract in 2012, unless he signed a 3 year deal when drafted)
- Ivan Maric
- Shaun McKernan
- Jason Porplyzia
- James Sellar
- Brad Symes
- Will Young
I will be updating the OP accordingly.

It was announced on the weekend that Reilly has re-signed with the club. The announcement was on the radio and I haven't seen anything on the AFC website or in the print media to confirm it. I'm guessing it's a 2-year contract, given that's the AFC standard.

Johncock has also signed on for another 2-years. This one is confirmed:
Johncock recently signed a new two-year deal with the Crows, ensuring he will finish his career at the club he supported as a child.

Players from the current list missing - Porps, Smith, Symes and Sellar (and Davis, of course. Schmidt and Callinan are rookies)

Players not listed on the OP:

Craig
Lyons
Sellar
Porps
Smith
Symes
Young

Do we know anything about their contracts?
Lyons and Smith are contracted until the end of next season.
Porps is in negotions with the club.
Chanel 10 are reporting that Symes hasn't been offered a campaignerract yet and will have to wait until the end of trade week to find out if he's required.

Time for the weekly update. Assuming Porps and Talia are two year extensions, add them to the exp 2013 list, delete Talia from exp 2011 list.

Add Lyons and Smith to the exp 2012 list.

Is Jaensch actually out of contract this year? He was rookie upgraded to the 2011 senior list, along with Thompson and Henderson. We've got those two listed as in contract for next year. Wouldn't have Jaensch been put on a two year as well?

Looks like the futures of Craig, Sellar, Symes, Young and Cook are on hold till after trade week.

Schmidt too, for that matter. As I understand it, we have to upgrade him or cut him loose - we can't re-rookie him.

The fate of Callinan is also unknown - could be a rookie again or upgraded.

This thread is a lot more relevant now that AFC have started announcing contract lengths again. Can I suggest that in the OP, there be some sort of asterisk system which shows when players will be out of contract having given 8 years service, and 10 years service for free agency purposes?

Eg for end of 2015:

- Rory Sloane
- Patrick Dangerfield * (8 years)
- Richard Douglas ** (10 years)

Also I think Otten and Talia signed at the end of last year til 2013.

Edit: Porplyzia and Talia signed at end of 2011 for unspecified period.

Otten signed a two year extension at the end of 2011, Vince also signed one for an unspecified period.

Sloane can be added in the til end of 2015 bracket.

Not a bad idea... Will implement if I get the time.
Also I think Otten and Talia signed at the end of last year til 2013.
Happy to add them if you can provide some official confirmation. A link to the AFC website, or coverage in the media, would be fine. Happy to assume that contracts signed last year would have been for 2-years, unless otherwise stated (eg Symes).

If it helps (not looking at the front page so I don't know when all these guys come out of contract):

Doughty, Johncock, Reilly and Rutten are already beyond 10 years.

2012: S Thompson, van Berlo and Knights 8 years.

2013: Vince, Douglas and Porplyzia 8 years.

2014: Tippett and Mackay 8 years. S Thompson, van Berlo and Knights 10 years.

2015: Walker, Symes, Otten, Petrenko, Dangerfield, Martin 8 years. Vince, Douglas and Porplyzia 10 years.

I don't think we have any contracts beyond 2015 yet, so that should be all we need for now.

Edit: The fact that Rutten is not listed as a free agent this year means that he must be contracted until at least 2013 - currently listed as 2012(?) in the OP.

From the OP the few differences I have, or (?) to agree/disagree with are-
2013 - S. Thompson , Talia , McKernan , Vince , Tambling and the new tradings Lynch, Jenkins, Johnston ,plus are you bothering to put on the new draftees with auto 2 year deals? Brown , Kerridge etc?
2012 - I have Porplyzia , Rutten , Shaw , Lyons , Jacobs , Hendo , Martin out of contract.
I dont have any 'eveidence', I just record it as I hear it, and again some are best-guessed 2 year deals before the club announced all the lengths,
but if this helps you determine any, as best we can get, then thats what I have.

Going on the two-year extension standard, Shaw and Porplyzia should be in contract until the end of 2013 :thumbsu:
