You'd turn on just to watch Robbie

Pittard the current leader of consecutive behinds kicked (11) and 3rd in competition history.
Yet they still insist on giving him the ball for the quick play on instead of having the set shot for goal?

Mediocrity in the middle of the road clubs sees a boring set up take place, one side manages to sneak a few ahead, early then the other tries like hell to come back and looks great , a la Hawks v North, Melb v Saints, Port v Coll, you just know that the three teams playing catch up won't win, not good enough even with Norths blistering third quarter , you just knew they'd lose.
Now Saints tried, but just the same couldn't, and now the Pies try and try , just can't do it, they'll lose to Port, it is a forgone conclusion of mediocrity .
You sit and watch and hope for a miracle , and these days it is a miracle, if a middle road club can get back into a game, generally they can't, and with all the defensive backward and sideways football now , well its boring , Essendon tried and tried just couldn't break the difference , the skill difference that is , and with skill levels at their least, in today's club inflated game , your really will see this for a long long time.

Any way its still the best game in the world , but it is changing dramatically, and some times it is mediocre.
