You don't think Cameron cheats out the back all the time? He'd be the best in the afl at it.
Isn't this what fast small fwds do?
It's a team plan to create space behind so he can use his pace and get goals out the back.
It's not "cheating" when it's a deliberate ploy.
It's designed to use his leg speed.

Saints can't win a flag with Crouch/Steele/Gresham as your on-ball brigade.

It's as simple as that.

They are nice neat players but that's all.

Until that's dealt with everything else is irrelevant.

They need some genuine sized defenders first and foremost. If Ross' mantra is defense, it has to start there.

I am unsure of their actual measurements but they have one tall and the rest looked tiny against Daniher and Hipwood.
Saints are eerily similar to the 09 team. A fleet of athletic defenders devoid of a couple of genuine bigs.

The Lions had 11 more inside 50s.

Defence is irrelevant if uve got a bog average midfield .

Howard is huge (if limited)
Battle and Wilkie are decent and serviceable.
Cordy can go back and play tall.
They also have two young tall defenders - Van Es and Adams on the list.
So they are ok there.

But who are their midfielders?

I've got no problem with it.

Just a silly Lions poster who thinks his team doesnt do it, when they do it more than most.
