Our midfield is the worry for me. We look to be back to our old 4 man rotation system with Berry, Soligo, Dawson and Peatling. Neale-Bullen may run through, but that then leaves our small forwards being young Taylor and Pedlar, both have serious tank issues and struggle to get their hands on the ball. I don't see either being viable in the midfield rotations. Curtin is an option, with maybe Hinge moving to a wing, but overall, it's an area that not losing by too much is probably about as hopeful as we can realistically be.
Totally forgot Keays and others who will run through to forwards!

It’s not about the number of free kicks. It’s about when they’re paid and the situations they’re paid in.

Over the past few years, we’ve had so many free kicks go against us at critical moments. Bringing up averages is just plain lazy. Get up early, watch the games, do the work.
Statistics are for nerds Context matters but msot peopel are pretty small brained

I know the Pies aren't in good form but this feels like a great opportunity for them.

No one is really expecting they'll win, they can almost use it as a bit of a free hit and throw caution to the wind.

Who knows, Adelaide might tighten up in their first major final in a little while...

Just on the "Crow throw", I think each state has their own local twist on rules. SA had a "quicker" hand ball allowed, i recall new recruits in the VFL adjusting.

It does make for slick ball movement and the AFL seems to have altered the standard, and IMHO all sides now scoop flick and even throw the ball a lot. I think its still seen as an SA thing but we do it too, i suspect its confirmation bias that makes the Crows seem guilty here.

Even if they were consistent for the entirety of the match (Morgan Freeman: They weren't consistent), both teams are still uncertain as to whether they are being hypercritical of transgressions or letting them go until halfway through the match. It's an absurd way to adjudicate a sport.
The inconsistency is maddening. I go to a lot of Pies home game and sometimes you can see the umps gradually crumble.

Mostly doesn't affect the result, but feels like to home ground advantage if you're loud enough.

If the Pies got dodgy decisions early last time thats consistent with our crowd being noisy because we popped in a couple, ditto the Crows surge late when their crowd got loud.

The umps do seem to let a run on flow, so it often feels like they are kicking you when you are down.

We cant complain, were the loudest, and we play that burst front running game so we look like we get carried.

Did I hear right on the radio this morning that it was Collingwood who snitched to the AFL about the banned sprigs being used by another club, whilst being guilty of using them themselves?

If you heard it on Adelaide radio, its probably from the crows who were caught using the banned sprigs, painted aswell. After the AFL memo to all clubs.

The weather is looking much better than the last meeting. A few showers this morning but mostly dry for the rest of the day. There might be a bit of dew tonight but should be conducive to a higher scoring game.

This place is going to be brutal when Collingwood wins.

I like Adelaide a lot but their supporters are really setting themselves up here.
Dunno, a few roidonfrunnamois, but mostly reasonable. Mu stereotype of unhinged SA footy people may need to be reviewed.

Anyway, whaddaya mean "when Collingwood wins"? You trying to mozz us?

yep..clear sky is the forecast
thankful there is no rain, so there is no excuses for fumbles.

Yup. A minor advantage to Adelaide as it makes it slightly more difficult for Collingwood to turn it into a slugging match (which is how Collingwood would beat us, push the game in the trenches and do it with experience).

Ok, but it ain't Marvel. Dew can get heavy at times. Still plenty of excuses for butter fingers types. :D
Glad we aren't playing murphy. Tope bloke but....

Darcy Moore needs to stand up for his teammates and start scrag fights throughout the match. Don't tolerate Adelaide's hate!
