It looks plenty wide enough to me. It's not as if 100% of people will use the bridge.

I found this proposal. Unworkable is a fair assessment.

Where is that extra 50% coming from?
You can only have 100% of people use something.
Perhaps he's implying people other than football commuters? E.g. city employees etc. Friday nights is late night shopping in the city too.

Just copied this from the stadium page, going to be amazing walking across the bridge to Adelaide oval at night! View attachment 35866
City commuters are unlikely to use it at all - those on public transport won't get near it, nor will those driving, and the rest already have their choice of four bridges to cross depending which side of the city they're in and heading north from, this new one is unlikely to create a more convenient route for most of them.
It was made though to get people from cricket/football to the casino. There was a push that the bridge should also lead to the convention centre and people wanted to build around there for oval crowds.
There is suposed to be a publicwankfestconsultation for people who want to build there and the nimby crowd. What we will end up with is like the committee that tried to build a horse and ended up with a camel.
Still think the bridge should have been covered for when it rains.
I barely know one of their songs but obviously a big event for the oval so well done. I do question having such a large event a week before footy starts, this will probably be something we have to get used to now to justify the cost of the redevelopment, I know other grounds have had problems but the cases I remember are when the events have been a day or two earlier. Would a week be enough for the ground to recover from all the stage/equipment/people?
Don't read The Advertiser website lol - people are already complaining, not helped by the political undertones in the article itself.wait for the people bagging them and instead wanting some new age emo band
I remember the Foo Fighters concert a couple years back at Adelaide Oval they covered the whole oval with a plastic mat covering so I'd imagine they would do the same for this concert. The damage to the surface would be minimal.
sarcasm or just illustrating my point?
