How bad does the AFL logo look stuck on the bottom of the jumper numbers, particually when on both numbers.

Should be removed for all future games

I've heard your going to be able to buy jerseys with any players name and number combination on the back from your football club ala Premier League. Another AFL money spinner............

They look terrible on all the teams. It looks alright for the English Premier League but not the AFL numbers.

I've been told from a reliable source that if you look carefully at the numbers it doesnt actually say

"AFL"
it says
"AD"

you can already buy jumpers of some players with the name n number on the back. only certain players have them tho. eg. Nathan Buckley

You can buy a jumper with any player name and number on it. Only the more popular players are readily availble in the store though. It is $10 for name and number printed and $6 just for the number.

The problem with footy is club sponsorship takes up half the guernsey on the back, therefore they wouldn't be bothered to put the player names on.

The AFL logo would be there purely as an advertisement for them (not the sport...it's a logo, and like jabso said, the EPL has something a little different). It is too just add more advertising on a club's strip.

PS: I'm not a Celtic fan I was just using JVoH as an example. Interestingly enough you can purchase his shirt but you can't put more than 10 letters if you customise your shirt.

The logos look tacky. But I seriously would like names on the jumpers. We used to just give out numbers based on alphabetical order (apart from the captain and vice captain) for every year which meant that each year a player will probably get a new number. And not long before that they didn't have numbers at all.
