Liked: Absolutely nothing.

Learnt: Geelong is finally at the end of its run of 21st-century dominance, no real complaints, that's footy. I've seen 4 flags and more H&A wins than any other fan could wish for.
* Footy fans don't care about life events, footballers can get bashed outside pubs, but footy fans don't give a hoot.
You can't even walk through peaceful Fitzroy Gardens without being clobbered by someone, it's not just footballers who get targeted. Melbourne is a dangerous place in 2023.

Hated: The AFL has lost the plot and should've overturned the Crows V Swans result. They do all these wonderful things like the Gather round, Indigenous round, Pink Lady round etc, but when it comes to something like the integrity of its own competition it fails miserably.
* This was the worst decision in AFL history, yet footy fans are just shrugging their shoulders. Bizarre.

Liked: For us - A win. For others, Saints have added a tinge of genuine class in their play as the season has gone on.

Learnt: For us- my suspicions last week were possibly true, and part of our performance was the flu which affected Petch and Hough was probably affecting other players. Hence such an abysmal final three quarters. For others, Brisabane should be flag favourites.

Hated: Nothing for us. For others, obviously what happened to the Crows.

Learnt: according to the AFL media, finishing top and only losing 5 for the year isn't good enough, we needed to spud it up throughout the year and only play well in the last 4 weeks because history says so. Collingwood are held to a higher standard than any other side in ******* existence.

Learnt: there hasnt been enough commentary about the crows goal decision … this is the only thing that stopped them winning the 2023 flag it’s that level of injustice ….

Liked: It's a rarity when your team has a game like the Giants did. Have to savour those moments.

Learnt: 1. Actually more confirmed - the field umpires spend too much time in the corridor. They need to position in a zig zag. 2. Many think Adelaide should be awarded the game. That just can't happen with the amount of time left on the clock.

Hated: Adelaide's non-goal. Yes, the goal ump stuffed up but for a set shot, a field umpire should have been following the trajectory of the ball. Noting the reaction of the players, a field ump should have over-ruled the goal ump and called for a review. There's more than one to blame for this event.

Yep. It should've been overturned with the Crows declared the winners. The Goal Umpire was not the only one at fault, the field umpires were negligent also. It's the worst decision in football history, but like a footballer getting king hit outside a pub, fans don't care.

wheres this end? any mistake found in the last 2 minutes you want the result changed

also as you say the umpires were at fault, not so whys the clock disappear and a different team punished

if during the game they reversed it say after lloyd kicked in and changed it fine, then we bounce in the middle and resume, your way makes 0 sense

It should've been overturned. The field Umpires were at fault for not asking to check the review system to see if indeed it hit the post. The AFL has admitted that the umpires are at fault. The repercussions of this have ruined the season for many clubs and left a bitter taste for fans. Only Swans supporters would be against this. It's the worst decision if AFL history, Gil was onto it straight away today, but too late for the Crows and the integrity of the game.

If it were a shot after the siren then sure maybe you can change it, but it wasnt there was significant time left. So how can you change a result,

If I were a crows fan id be pissed 100% but if you think its the worst decision made on an afl ground you are delusional...there was 90 plus seconds left for the last time

Cmon Crows fans, we even had a SANFL final where North Adelaide won a very close prelim with 19 players on the field for a fair portion of the last qtr and the SANFL backed off from overturning even that result under threat of legal action.
Simply, the umpires are the final arbiter of the game. Unless you can show events beyond the umpires control (eg siren gate) or deliberate corruption, you don’t have a leg to stand on.
