After 4 rounds...

What I loved about the first four weeks is that it has shown we're not as rubbish as some were claiming we were. While we're going to have quite a few downs this year its good to know we can beat teams that we should be beating. The next step is to start beating the teams around us on the ladder, Essendon is a good start.

and Now we have to keep that up for rest of the Season

Team playing their guts out, Bucks showing improvement. Hopefully skills will improve with the development of the kids. Add in some experience to the midfield things will look better.

Will still be surprised if we make finals. Predict the team to run out of puff as the year goes on. Still showing good signs for the future!
skills will also come with composure.

Good start to the season, especially beating Essendon.

Next six games will be telling - Carlton, Geelong, Gold Coast, North, Melbourne, Giants - all very winnable and very important for our finals chances as our fixture gets really tough after that.

If we can be 7-3 then that would be a very good result with Sidebottom, Greenwood and possibly Reid and Scharenberg to return.

We're leading the league in contested possessions and are 3rd for tackles, there's a definite hardness about how our team are playing so far this year

This is so good, all these youngsters developing this hard edge/mindset at an early age. In 2 years time add the class of De Goey/Scharenberg/Moore and one or two FA/Trade targets and all of a sudden we'll have a skill to complement it.

First 4 rounds have been good.

Should have beaten the Bears by 10 goals but the weather obviously affected us in the end.

Didn't play as well as we could have against a mightily confident crows but did well to bring it back to 27 points.

Did to the saints what we'd expect as a team looking to see up to top 4-6 spot.

Anzac Day was a good reflection of the boys belief - we can't allow teams so much extra ball though will hurt us against the good sides. Essendrugs have already run out juice 4 games in.

Round 5 for me is a massive game and I guessing that Micks last 6 months have probably been spent devising plans and contingency plans to destroy his former employer, what's left of "his boys", Ed and the man that took his job.
If we do not front up breathing fire and smash this rabble there is something wrong with our club. In the 90s every significant Carlton v Collingwood Game seemed to be won by Carlton. Since bucks has taken over Carlton has been barely a challenge for us. I hope that continues on Friday with the exception that we destroy their season with a 100 point smashing of them and mick. Bring bucks boys right to he fire while condemning mick and carton to the bottom for 2015.

This picture sums up the place at the moment.

Gone are the sad sacks of year past that were whinging during and after every game, those that didn't want to be at the club, those that didn't want to buy into Bucks plan.

Now there's a whole list of players who want to be at this club, and want to build something special.

We will have ups and downs this year, but no matter what happens this season we are heading in the right direction, that's super clear now.

A bit late with this post but I only watched the game in full last night vs Essendon.

Fantastic result based on the conditions and how good Essendon have been in the opening month. We restricted them to their lowest score under Hird. Seedsman, Pendlebury, Adams all terrific in the midfield mix. The defence as a "unit" was terrific. Jackson Ramsay played what I thought to be his best game in black and white and may actually have a career here. Elliott and Cloke very good in the conditions. Grundy has taken the next step. He is a beast.

My only negatives is we still concede or allow alot of uncontested ball and easy marks to the opposition. We need to sort this out and not allow it to be a a frequent recurrence.

Other than that we are 3-1, have 2 of our best mids out in Sidebottom and Greenwood and we are doing it on the back of some strong leadership in our guns and our progression of youth.

Add the continued growth of guys like De Goey and Moore starring in the twos, Scharenberg and possibly Kennedy to resume this week, Reid not so serious....we are pushing into a good shape.

Still plenty of work to do but so far I'm happy to be proven a little wrong. Hopefully this keeps up.
