My question is this

Why in the hell do they need to name a squad?

I don't understand why they feel the need to name a squad of 40 then reduce it ....

Just the name the 22 ......many things I don't understand

I don't think there is honour in the being in the best 40 .....

Missing out is part of life sometimes, just name the team

anyways Matt priddis as named in the 40 man squad so I expect all the priddis haters will be frothing at the mouth over in our board , I'm too scared to even look at our board...for what it's worth I'm a Priddis fan ...pops shouldn't have said that should I? The other eagle they mentioned was Eric Mackenzie

Dockers, Ballentyne, Fyfe and Sandilands ......I suspect all 3 make it

Anyways still not a fan of AA squads .....just don't see the point

Sorry but Eric Mackenzie has been the best fullback by a street this year

The ball has been in our backline a lot someone's coming in hot

It's easy to pick a fullback from a good side when the ball isn't coming down much ....Eric mackezie has carried west coast backline and beaten everyone he played on

Just how many Sydney nominations do you want? Where would they even fit McGlynn in? Doesn't deserve to be in there over any of the midfielders or small forwards.

I'm surprised Burgoyne made the squad, but but because he isn't deserving. It's just that he doesn't rack up the numbers that the clowns who pick this team normally get a chub over. He's had a superb year though.

Lewis, Rough and Breust are the best bet for making the final team.

50 goals as a small forward. Breust is the first picked but if your some reason they chose two he'll be in with a shout. Unlikely but definitely worthy of a squad spot.

Picking Goldstein or Ryder would have been a token nod at best given it's a 2 horse race for the ruck position between Sandi and Jacobs. Both had fantastic years but were zero chance of making the team.

Goldstein has been rucking solo for years and in a team that finished equal on wins with Port Adelaide. If they go Sandi fair enough but Goldy has paid his dues (bafflingly being beaten by Minson last year) and beating he, Jacobs, Mumford and playing very well against the cats in the last weeks. Instrumental in our wins against the top 4 early in the year and the main instigator late in games when we got over these sides. Hitting the scoreboard more of late I just thought he and Harvey would be the obvious ones with our improvement this year. The rest of the side has evened up to get us to 14 wins but these 2 have been standouts IMO

I think Bruest is a shoe in. Betts falls into the Thomas category last year, great numbers but not in the media as much playing for a side missing the 8. Love the Gunston, Bruest and Roughy trifecta. So dangerous and versatile, should be the starting FF line

Long way off AA.

No where near a lock for the squad of 40 - hasn't played enough. Mackenzie, Hooker and Talia are the only KPD locks.

Rance ended your season and proved you foolish. He's already AA in my eyes.
