I am. I'll be able to do something else for a change instead of sweating over our potential new kids. Look for me at the pub, I'll be the bloke with the smug, arrogant grin drinking pints and thinking about our known quantity of TK lining up in 2020.

Such arrogance, a true representative of West Coast. Well done sir :moustache:

I am hoping not to see sentiment like what I had in my post on here... I expect it on FB😂 but not in this establishment!

We need to keep a pick high enough to make us all think we are chance to get player x which our brains trust will then ignore when they are still available at our allotted pick, otherwise it just won't be draft day.

What needs to be considered by all is that the landscape has changed with free agency. Historically we haven't made massive trades, but with the way the comp is going players are moving more which means the club has more avenues to improve their list than just drafting and developing hoping for an impact in a few years time.

There are more mids in the comp than key position players so it makes sense to draft develop your key position guys, and chase mids via a combination of draft, free agency and trade.

Is the price high for Kelly, yes. Is he a jet yes. The chance of hitting on all our picks are low. Do we have the opportunity to bring in a free agent in 2/3 years time in the right age bracket to complement Kelly and Yeo, with the cash freed up from JK, Hurn, Jetta etc most likely having mover out of the game, yes.

The AFL is in a different world now, and I think we will see even more players moving each draft period.

Where the fu** is Dylan in all of this??

Trying to not fall asleep whilst going through another on-site induction...

Question should be where is Vozzo? Wells turned up at AFL House an hour ago.

Getting messages that Eagles may be acting as an intermediary between Geelong and Saints for the Steven deal - here's hoping we retain more than what is being reported in the media this morning.

The sad thing is we shouldn't have to be involved with that. Geelong should simply cough up pick 36 and we keep 33. Unless the saints want 33.

It seems a little odd that the Saints would be baulking at Cats 36 but keen to take pick 33 and cover some of Jack's salary. There's not that much value in a 3 pick upgrade.

With that said 36 for 33 is fine if the Cats pass it on because otherwise they'd likely pluck a WA slider right before us the w***ers.

And we've been the 2nd most successful club in the AFL era.
I'm not convinced that this new "sell the farm" strategy is a good one.

Our premiership window is still open .. So we need to maximise our opportunities right now ..
