have you spoken to them yet? They have until tomorrow for me before I'm on the phone again asking WTF is happening.

My dads came no dramas mine is a cluster ****

Just wondering if anyone knows when tickets go on sale for Anzac day?

Our home game this year I think, so no problems - provided you have your membership! i.e. no rush in that you should be able to book your seats up until a couple of weeks before the match - when the leftovers go to Essendon and Joe Public.

Opti, I bought my interstate Membership early December and it didn't come when they had originally stated.

I emailed the club, with a copy of my receipt for membership as I did it all online and I received it within a week.

Perhaps give that a try so they have a receipt number or something to trace it by.

Link for tickets sales for reserved seating.

On-sale dates:

RESERVED SEATING: Etihad Stadium (Level 1 and 2) & MCG: Round 1-21
Competing Club Members* 9am, Tuesday, March 2
General public 9am, Tuesday, March 9

* Members with entry entitlements to the match, who do not already hold a reserved seat for the game, have access to upgrade to a reserved seat and purchase additional tickets for non-members. Members without entry entitlements to the game are required to wait for the general public on-sale to purchase tickets.

Yeah called them three weeks ago

I've moved house since last year and they hadnt updated my details with the new form (they did take the money though), my mail is still diverted but no sign of the original package. After calling i received the member pack after 2 days but still waiting on the card which i was told would take 2-3 weeks, today is 3 weeks exactly.

As i live in a new estate mail comes late, so ill call again tomorrow morning and hopefully get a hold of justin reeves again and see what he can do or find out

I'm an AFL member for the first time this year.

How does it work for AFL members? Do I still pre-book like normal? Do I have an advantage or is it still tough to get tickets?

For most AFL games, the on sale date is the same as the general public (1st weekend of the month before the game is played - e.g March on sale date for April matches).

Last year the AFL released 3000 tickets for each AFL match in Melbourne on sale only over the internet to AFL members about 2 weeks before the public sale date, so I'm hoping they do this again.

I've never missed out on tickets to any match at the G or Etihad as an AFL member, as long as you buy them on that first on sale day you will be right.

Gonna have to book for three of the first five games, very lame.
Yeah, was looking at that today, I'd say its 4 for people who don't have reserved seats already, as the Doggies, Stkilda and Carlton games almost definitely require reserved seats, annoying really, but at least after that our away games are either interstate or at the G against lesser sides.

The only other 3 games that may require reserved seats are 3 of the last 4 games against Hawthorn, Essendon and Geelong at the G.

Plus ANZAC day is a home game this year, so having the 11 home game reserved seat package is even worth more the year.:thumbsu:

Im looking at buying at least a couple of tix, possibly more if friends come... but we live in QLD and are not members.

Just wondering how many tix can you buy at a time, and im assuming buying them on the net is the best way to get them yeah?

Will be my gf's first AFL game, so is there anything i should know to ensure we get a couple of seats? Cheers :):thumbsu:

The only real tip to buying tickets online is to ensure you have an account with the ticketing agency setup before the morning tickets go on sale and you are logged into that account before 9.00 am on the sale day.

I think most agencies place a limit of about 8 tickets per transaction, but I'm not entirely sure whether it's the same for the general public.

If you get online and attempt to buy tickets in the first few minutes of the on sale time, you should have no problems getting tickets.

As mentioned above, the on sale dates are probably going to be early March, as I know the AFL Members dates are the 5th (MCG-Ticketek) and 6th (Etihad-Ticketmaster) respectively.

Hope you get tickets.:thumbsu:
