Positive? Season-long unavailabilities to Dunn, Wells, Beams, Stephenson (until finals), Langdon possibly, and injuries still to Moore and Reid.

I think it's relatively positive considering we are likely to see Pendlebury, Adams and Howe in the side, and Moore the only forced omission. We should have a much stronger side than ran out last week anyway.

Hoping we get Moore back a few weeks before finals so he can gear up and be fit...otherwise he might find himself in a similar situation to last year where we might not be willing to run the risk. Stepho definitely comes back so will be fit and firing. Dunn unlikely, but Roughead has his spot anyway, and I think Shaz will be more than competent substitute for Langdon.

Wells and Beams are the question marks. Doubt Beams is a shot now, but Wells might be a sneaky chance.

I think based on the doom and gloom in recent weeks, things are definitely more positive this week.

Have you been living under a rock? This is as good as it gets for Collingwood!

It’s also countered by Pendles availability, Howe and Adams returning to the senior lineup, Murphy and Varcoe returning at VFL level and Adams re-signing. First world football problems if you’re looking at it negatively!

FWIW Wells ramped things up today according to Bucks’ presser and will play again without a setback.
Regarding Murphy, and it may just been that I haven't seen him for a few months, but he looked noticeably bigger. Not height wise please, but stronger and more robust in the body. If he can get nice and fit, he's a good prospect going into 2020. Ditto Appleby. Developing into young men both. Tyler Brown is still a stick though. I was too busy watching Pendles, Adams and Howe....with a few peeks at Sier, to take in Tyler Brown.

Only one question. Where’s the but? We’re far to late in the year for things to be sounding this positive

On a serious note I appreciate the update!

Next minute out Greenwood, Elliott, Noble. You can't dream this shit up at Collingwood haha. I guess we really did return to form last week, in every aspect.

We can't go a week with out at least 2 New Injuries it seems

Wells? Still enough time left before finals. Bring it on.

Indeed... One thing though I think at least one or two of those three would be playing if this was a final. Given the context of back to back travelling, Elliott’s history and Noble’s limited time at the club I’ve got no real concerns over team selection this week.

Neither do I. It just makes me laugh. We think we're doing alright again with injuries then BAM!!! Three out.

On selection, my only concern is the non selection of Shaz. I think he's the obvious replacement for Moore. Howe and Shaz would improve our tall small balance in defence. I reckon we're too small.

I imagine the coaches are deliberately trying to refocus on winning ground balls at the expense of aerial interceptions which isn't without merit. We were getting smacked around with the ground level ball when we were losing.

That all said I'm happy for Appleby. I know some think he's no good (others think he's kreas ;)) but I reckon he's a good defender, albeit limited in offence.

Would not risk him in a final or Ben Reid now. Likely to break down in the first quarter and leave you a man down in rotations and kill you.
I wouldn't risk leaving a fit Wells out. Reid, I'd only play if cox or Mihocek were out.

He showed in 37% game time against the Swans just how influential he can be. 11 disposals at better than 90%DE, 3 goals and a couple of tackles. You can't overlook that sort of class if he's fit and available purely because you're scared of the what-if's.
