It amuses me to know that the Christian god is something of a pokedex completionist.Mark 13:10
Some Christian groups claim all people groups including small tribes need to hear the gospel before god wraps things up with his endgame.
except, the mighty difference is that He fulfilled scriptures and raised himself from being dead.Jesus ain’t done jack.
Couldn’t even stay alive for more than a cupla days on a cross.
Weak, if I were the son of god I’d have been singing and laughing for weeks, months, years, just to fu** with the Romans, hell, I might still be up there rapping away about how good my nuts feel swaying in the breeze.
But not our jesus, couldn’t use some of those amazing powers he had to stay alive for more than a normal human, almost as if he was just a run of the mill everyday human.
thats another bit that confuses meexcept, the mighty difference is that He fulfilled scriptures and raised himself from being dead.
THAT is the ultimate reason we have hope as Christians.
Oh really, he raised himself up did he, “look it says so right here in this book”, said every religious believer.except, the mighty difference is that He fulfilled scriptures and raised himself from being dead.
THAT is the ultimate reason we have hope as Christians.

he sent us his only son
we tortured him to death horribly
so he forgives us our sins.
wtaf?
sounds like a really drunk guy explaining to his wife why hes home at 2 am while shes got a rolling pin in her handIt makes no sense. Why couldn't an all-powerful and loving God just forgive sins without going through all this sacrifice bullshit in the first place?
What you find if you look into it closely enough is that Christianity is a mashing together of at least two different religions into one compromise religion that tries to include everyone. The price for that is the overall theology doesn't make logical sense.
He's a death god and christianity is a death religion, once you get past all the lovely trappings. They can talk all they like about peace and love and goodness, but in the end when you walk into a church what you see is glorified pain and suffering, elongated via a torture device, into an ignoble death.thats another bit that confuses me

Do you read the sources you quote?
The facts: The UNHCR Global Trends Report 2010 shows that Australia took one refugee per 1, 000 population and ranked 69th in the world for per capita refugee intake. 2012 UNHCR figures for absolute refugee intake show that Australia took nearly 30,000 refugees and ranked 49th in the world.

Tell me, do you wear a crucifix around your neck? What is hung in each and every church of your religion? We are not obsessed by death, or going around hanging crap on those who don't believe...
There's an irony for you to use that phrase.Take it or leave it.
... you've just described confirmation bias. But if just one questioning person here on this thread, or elsewhere in life, takes his own questions that step further and discovers the truth for himself, that is great.
That is all we can hope for.
I know that those who genuinely seek God will find him.
1.No.1.Tell me, do you wear a crucifix around your neck? What is hung in each and every church of your religion?
2.What is the point of the story of Jesus?
There's an irony for you to use that phrase.
... you've just described confirmation bias.

see thats where we differ i guessconfuses everybody.
not how I would control my world.
But then, we are not God.
There is so much about Christianity that is almost impossible and difficult, and that is in part why I think it is real.

That's the essence of Christianity. He defeated death for us, to allow us to come to Him . I don't fight the absurdity of it . Too many amazing people have had real life changing conversions. You seem hung-up by Catholicism. So, why did Jesus have to die? Especially if it didn't stick and it wasn't permanent for him.
Nobody in this life is going to be able to reproduce it or put it to the test. A real human life crucified. Then resurrected and returns to impart The Great Commission to all subsequent believers.I have a question.
What is the sacrifice in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus?
I have faith because I want to, that's true. But my intellect does not allow me to believe that mankind and human life evolves from whatever the latest theory is. I believe we have a conscience that separates us from animals and everything else, and the more we rely on ourselves, the bigger the fall. Believing in God is easy for me. The Christianity part is challenging, but my personal experience points to reality, that has stood the test of time- 38 years now, and in reality, I believes as a child.see thats where we differ i guess
if something makes zero sense i discard it.
i guess thats faith

You've not answered my question. Sacrifice is defined as:Nobody in this life is going to be able to reproduce it or put it to the test. A real human life crucified. Then resurrected and returns to impart The Great Commission to all subsequent believers.
... in the Cambridge dictionary. If Jesus didn't die, how is there any sacrifice at all as he has not surrendered anything, let alone something of value? If Jesus did die but was raised from the dead, are you saying that the entire burden of human sin going backwards and forwards through time is worth 72 hours?to give up something that is valuable to you in order to help another person
