Big get for the club, a very strong and respected global car manufacturer choosing us is a massive tick for how our club is being run. Wonder if we can expect to see them on one of our guernsey's next year?

Also, 10% off for Hawks members please ;):p

As part of the new sponsorship agreement, the Audi logo will be displayed on the players’ shorts and coaches’ property (apparel and coaches’ box) from 2016. The club will also refurbish and rename its Grande Suite at the MCG the ‘Audi Suite’.

This is a very good get, people.

Prestige motor vehicle companies don't just partner up with anyone.

Ouch - took the deal away from Saints and Doggies, two clubs (especially the former) who need good sponsor deals.

Damn good business by the Board. Another notch to keep this club chugging along nicely.

You can bet the afl are pissed we got the sponsorship ahead of dogs and saints.
"We pushed hard for St Kilda and for the Bulldogs," said an AFL insider. "The fact is, the majority of big sponsorship deals don't originate with the clubs, they originate with companies approaching the AFL. We know what deals are available and try to help match up sponsors with clubs."

For Audi Australia managing director Andrew Doyle, who is fast growing Audi into one of the biggest luxury car brands in the country, debate over the state of the league means far less than the bottom line.

Ten years ago, Audi sold just 10 per cent of the cars rival BMW sold in Australia. That figure now stands at 93 per cent. If Audi can sell 650 more cars than BMW by the end of the year, it will beat BMW for the first time.

Mercedes-Benz will be then be his next target. The deal with Hawthorn is central to both quests.

"Look at [Hawthorn's] membership, its viewing audience, the size of the club and its support base," he said. It was an easy decision."
