Is this not the same as any left wing protest and its participation by socialists and communists? Would you say that every person at a Palestine rally is a communist?
You’re really having a hard time with this. The left aren’t advocating for a pro white society or peddling gestures from a deranged homicidal German with small man syndrome.

Image pinched from ABC News website.

The message here is a bit reductive, but it generally holds true. All the struggling Australians are seeing each other as the enemy, like dogs fighting over meagre scraps from their gluttonous masters.

The mega rich have known for centuries that the best way to keep the working and middle class from figuring out that they’re getting screwed and fighting back is to convince the white people in the middle and working class that it is the brown people in the middle and working class’ fault.

This whole protest is straight out of that textbook. Blaming decreasing housing affordability on immigration is the perfect scapegoat so that the wealthy can continue to profit off the system that is designed to benefit them. All you need is a sprinkle of fear mongering and racism and now you can successfully divide and conquer.

Sure.

This is the article:

Firstly the paper makes a crucial mistake explaining what happened to house prices during COVID. Yes many temporary immigrants left. But many ex-pats returned. Many of them needed to work from home. That drove up demand for hosuing and with many of these ex-pats cashed up and interest rates at historic lows, prices rose. The authors of the paper put the prices due to interest rate cuts only. This is FALSE and a severe blow against the credibility of the paper.

Secondly the type of housing is relevant. 1 bedroom apartments in Docklands count as one house built, but very few buyers, esp families want those types of properties. Capital growth is poor as a result.

The paper fails miserably in measuring the number of dwellings built that match the demand of the buyers. Landed properties have accordingly shown the greatest capital growth because that is what more people want.

And Vic Labor-doing what Labor does best, is now going to give us more apartments that most buyers don't want.
Covid times - the demand for housing in the context of negative population growth (victoria) was simply due to decreased household sizes (people didnt want to share dwellings) - FACT.

Properties with land (backyard) increase at a greater rate due simply to supply - not many quarter acre blocks left in inner/middle cities (basics of supply and demand)

"Vic Labor-doing what Labor does best, is now going to give us more apartments that most buyers don't want" - super dumb comment. This outcome is happening everywhere - cant produce more land in the inner/middle city, therefore apartments are the only solution - unless you want to go to the urban fringe 50-70kms from the CBA - of which, there is still ample land - thats consumer choice

Nonsense. I’ve posted enough evidence on this thread of that.

The white Nationalists were front and centre of the Marches. At the Sydney March led at the front and carried the banner, they made at least 3 speeches all mentioning the need to create a “white Australia”. In Brisbane they chanted “bring back white Australia” along with most of the crowd.

These guys were a centrepiece of the marches today and you can’t deny that.

Well we've never before seen opportunism at a public rally.

What’s more ridiculous:

1. The “EMF Protection”

2. The MAGA Cap

3. Or protesting migration from India under a statue of Ghandi? 😆

Is this not the same as any left wing protest and its participation by socialists and communists? Would you say that every person at a Palestine rally is a communist?

The main message of the pro Palestine protest was that Israel is committing genocide, and that the Australian government should stop supporting Israel in this conflict and do more to protect the Palestinian people.

There were many other side protests or interests, that not everyone in the protest would be in support of, but everyone there would be in support of that main key message.

What is the main message/s that everyone at the March for Australia protest would align itself with?

Genuine question, no shit talking back and forth here.

At what point does it just become a Nazi rally? When they take ownership and openly advertise it as both a show of white pride and a recruiting excercise as they did today?

Cause if it’s not that then when?

I didnt use a paper.

I used stats.

Not only that but you dont actually give any real argument except to say the paper got it wrong.

Also out of the 667000 overseas migration figures in the 2023-24 year you fail to look at the numbers outside of some arbitrary 'scary' number.

Not only that, but it is important to note that the number includes:

- permanent visas 91k
-Aus citizens 60k
-NZ citizens 51k
  • Overseas students 207k
  • Visitors 90k
  • Working holiday makers 60k
  • Temporary skilled visas 49k

Edit: on the dwelling figure your argument about families is an interesting case in point. I would suggest families are less likely to live in a multi generational dwelling and the I'd also argue that the concept of having siblings share rooms is less likely to occur these days.

Covid times - the demand for housing in the context of negative population growth (victoria) was simply due to decreased household sizes (people didnt want to share dwellings) - FACT.

That is an additional fact which happens to also go against the credibility of the article that prices increased ONLY because of interest rate cuts.

Its a shit paper.

Properties with land (backyard) increase at a greater rate due simply to supply - not many quarter acre blocks left in inner/middle cities (basics of supply and demand)

Its not simply supply: its both supply and demand. Demand is increasing for landed properties and less of them are being produced.

Great for me as my multiple landed properties- all making a profit- will keep going up in price. Love capitalism.

Yeah I was hoping they'd try and veil the real aim (bolded) a little bit better, i guess at least they didn't try and hide it.

I'm watching one of the speeches now by a woman, she actually did "Aussie Aussie Aussie" at the end, that's cringe at the best of times.

That may be what you took away from that but I took away a message of death to Australia, burning of the Australian flag. Rampant anti semitism.

But that's not the point. The point is that it's dumb to paint the entirety of a protest as emblematic of its worst participants. So dumb that i actually dont believe Phantom thinks that and is actually just using it as an easy crutch for polticial point scoring. If you say your opponent is a Nazi you get an easy interet point... but its just a lazy and sjit argument that no one actually believes in. Other than mouth breathing lefties who love it.

What you did was a google search and got an AI answer which used the paper I linked to. Always go to the source son. The devil is in the detail.

Not only that but you dont actually give any real argument except to say the paper got it wrong.

The paper made asssumptions about the variables that affected house prices that are demonstrably wrong. Its an opinion piece from a left leaning organization.

They all need a roof over their heads, transport, infrastructure, health service etc.

Not just its worst participants though are they FBI.

Who do you think my tenants are?
lol, what a flex.

I’ve heard “I can’t be racist I’ve got heaps of colored friends” but “I can’t be racist I lease to heaps of migrants” is a new fresh ****ing hell.

Well when you smash bayonets into them like good Allied soldiers did they bleed profusely, crimson rich and satisfying.

Would be a bonus but honestly it's satisfying enough that while today might give them a little bit of a dopamine hit and make them feel powerful and a little less lonely, it's ultimately fleeting. The crowds will dissipate, the cameras and attention gone, and they all have to go back to their mundane lives, hunched over their computers, moaning on the internet how brown people are ruining everything, while the world will move on.

Their lives are going to be miserable no matter what and that is delightful.
