her French Open match v Kiki Bertens last year was epic. I do it in bullet points

1. She was time violated several times because she couldn't get her ball toss right. She would throw it up 3 or 4 times, before the ump put everyone out of there misery and called time.
2. In the end, she would just try to underarm it as it was better than outright losing the point.
3. On top of that, her opponent was visibly injured and in pain. barely able to move. She would have to leave the court in a wheelchair after WINNING the match
4. What does Sara Errani do. she would mock her injury during the match. After the match, she would storm off-court, swearing loudly and then accuse her opponent of play-acting.
5. Kiki Bertens would play the next 2 rounds before losing and then not play again and miss the AO due to said Knee injury.

Sky is the limit for Swiatek. At the French I noticed her FH wind-up and serve needed improvement, and honestly, in the span of a few months both have improved. Forehand technique has tightened up considerably, more compact and less room for error. Service motion looks good.

Perhaps more importantly she seems to have the smarts and drive to really want to be elite. So young but so good. Can’t wait to see what she can achieve.
