Deadset, that would be one of the best Australian Open matches I have ever seen.

Tipsarevic played an absolutely cracking game.

But the Federer juggernaut rolls on :thumbsu:

This would have to be the best Australian Open on recent record to date, some cracking early round matches.

Is there still a curfew for match starting times? If it's 10.30pm like it used to be then it could be delayed until 10.30am tomorrow.
I highly doubt they'll delay/suspend the match. If they do they'll hav 15,000 very pissed off ticket holders.

yesterday ( or the day before) said no matches could start after 11pm although say 10:50pm was ok. So either the current match is over in 40 minutes, the Hewitt game is on first match tomorrow or they scrap the curfew and start the Hewitt match at midnight and let it finish at 5am if necessary.

i agree but can they delay a match after it's already started?say there two sets all and it's four in the morning, surely they would have to have some curfew.
would love to be a cab driver tonight:)

I am a MASSIVE Federer fan but the Serb in me was going for Tipsarevic. What a cracking match. Janko pushed Roger to the breaking point but champ is a champ!

Either way, Janko can be extremely proud of his match tonight. I am sure there are plenty of people around who are proud of him.

Great game, as good as Sampras Vs Courier a decade or so ago!

hewitt v baghdatis holds no value to anyone bar the die-hards who are willing to stay until 3am

tv wants it in prime time
organisers dont want the stadium open until potentially 5am
stadium will be half full
security/caterers will cash in fat overtime

The Chad is declaring the hewitt game GONESKI...to tomorrow

TOMORROW'S SCHEDULE (WE think)

LAVER: Nalbandian vs Ferrero, then Gasquet vs Tsonga, then Vaidisova vs Serena with Jankovic vs Dellacqua and Nadal vs Matthieu the night games

VODAFONE: Spadea vs Ferrer, then Henin, then 2 all Russian affairs, 1 involving Shagmeova, the other involving our old mate Davydenko.

MCA: Kohlschrieber vs Neimenen, followed by doubles including the #1 seeds in both men's and women's draws.

No way will the men's match go ahead. The start curfew is 11pm.

They could be playing until 4am. It won't be played.

TA have ****ed up. Women's match just HAD to be relocated.

People will be rightfully pissed off. This will be front page news.

It's just bullshit. Car parks close, public transport stops, people will leave.

Tennis is best watched on tv. Why would you bother going and having to put up with this?

Very happy this went ahead. Gives me something to watch.

Hewitt won't be happy if he wins then plays Novak at 11pm on Monday.
