I was at the game and felt yuck yo watch there. I watched the first three quarters back on replay on TV and my opinion slightly changed….

We were very clearly the better side. The parts that were bad was our lack of polish but when we moved the ball around we were significantly more effective and I would go as far to say on our transition play it could be very high level AFL.

In terms of poor games Xerri will get wees and CCJ looked horrible at the game and worse on replay. Bull had a terrible game and hurt the team today. He will be better but that was one of his worst games for us.

It wasn’t good. It wasn’t really even OK. We see flashes of good play. We see maddening periods of frailty and panic. A young team still trying to carve out an identity and stiffen their collective spine.

They put themselves in position to win by 6+ goals. They went into their shell and wound up hanging on. It is up to Clarko and his staff to hammer into them that they are at their best when they keep attacking and not yet mature enough to just sit back and close out games. It has to be a learning experience for us to take anything more than 4 points from the game.

At some point we need to start to see them growing from both the good and the bad they put out there. A Good Friday win would be very encouraging in that context against a team we are on a par with talent wise IMO. A loss would be disheartening unless it is a much better played game from both teams.

The problem is, we have no one to replace him. CCJ has all the dexterity of a statue, and Goad isn't ready.

Playing Bath full time in the ruck robs us of his talents in the forward half. Darling doesn't have the tank or spring to ruck all game.

We won ugly because we were marginally less shit than *. Our skills are horrendous. Our decision making is deplorable. And we have a coach that is too stubborn to drop the players who continually demonstrate that they do not deserve to be selected.

Not too move past how horrid we were last night, it feels like every game I’m watching this year I’m thinking ‘this is the worst game I’ve ever seen’.

Anyone watch the Brisbane/Saints game. Unforced turnovers and horrible decisions everywhere, and the ‘pressure rating’ was non-existent. And as someone who backed GWS Friday night, f*** me their skills and decision making all night was horrid.
