The pretty world that is the Bulldogs Site Werribee Report where everyone played well even we they lose by 40+ points. Fortunately this week they won by 50+ and there are some interesting observations.
Walsh continues to improve with 7 marks at CHF. Eagleton 30+ possies, Gilbee ran out of puff? If Burton was taking 4+ contested mark would be very happy and Wiggo 12 marks!!!

Nick Bruton
Played mainly in the ruck where he dominated the centre bounce hit-outs. Had a run up forward and took two contested marks in an encouraging show. Worked well throughout the day.
Brent Colbert
Played in defence early in the game and struggled a little. Was moved onto the wing in the last quarter where he worked hard and notched up six possessions for the quarter. Finished well on the wing.
Cameron Faulkner
Played on the ball and managed to get a lot of the football. Has been playing consistently good footy in the forward line but suffered an injury in the third quarter this week and is likely to miss a couple of games.
Cameron Wight
Again showed his versatility by taking on various roles up forward, in defence and in the ruck. Worked really hard and competed well across all positions. Continues to develop nicely for the club.
Tim Walsh
Played as a tall forward once again. Looked good at centre half forward where he took seven strong marks to show encouraging signs for the Bulldogs.
Brian Harris
Played in defence and did a reasonable job. Rebounded well at times and formed part of a good backline.
Marcus Picken
Got a lot more of the ball this week and used the ball well in just his second week back from injury. Should continue to play well as he gains more match fitness.
Lindsay Gilbee
Was outstanding in the first half where he worked hard and hit the ball hard. Kicked four goals from the midfield.
Patrick Wiggins
Played as a deep forward and took 12 marks and kicked five goals in an all-round good performance.
Nathan Eagleton
Found a lot of the ball to amass close to 30 possessions for the game. Kicked a couple of goals in a return to good form.
Brad Murphy
Played in the Werribee reserves where he had a 20 possession game on the wing and played a good role in their win.
Will Minson
Made a return to the Werribee reserves where he played two to three quarters for a run after his foot injury.

I thought he meant Bruton took two contested marks when he went forward rather than the entire game - maybe he didn't take any when he was in the ruck. Remember Darcy only took 1 in our first 3 games.

12 marks by Wiggy is a good effort no matter the opposition.

What about Matthew Boyd? Named as the best player in the paper but not mentioned by Prendegast at all.

It is only VFL. Looks like anyone on the forward line took marks!

Not sure what has happened there?

Anyone reckon a fully fit Picken can crack the seniors? And if so, where would he play?

He's not in the best 22 however, we have a number of injuries and if he was in very good he might make the team.
Perhaps across half back or off the bench would be his best chance for a senior game
