It's finally here. Need I say more?

My tipping is going well with 1 out of 1 so far.

The BigFooty.com Tipping Comp is up and running. You can still enter and tip for round 1, as tips are accepted up until start time for each match:

I am thinking of giving away trophies for first, second and third place this year. There are also some weekly and monthly giveaways for tipping members.

If you need help with tipping join the AFLTips weekly newsletter at:

Some new servers have been put in at BigSoccer.com so we are reaping the benefits. Hopefully you will have noticed a drop in the number of Server Busy messages. I've gotten a couple, but both times I have been able to post as soon as I clicked the 'Back' button and re-submitted.

The half price footy videos special has ended. I hope you grabbed one while you had the chance.

- Prize Draw

The free copy of FootyWorks was drawn, congratulations to 'Stack' who was the first neatest, correct entry out of the barrel.

Seeing as everyone loved that draw, let's have another.

Go to http://www.sorensen.com.au/ and get any one name of a person who has provided a testimonial for FootyWorks.

E-mail the answer to prizedraw@bigfooty.com on or before Friday 4th April, including your name and BigFooty user name.

- Betting

If you are of betting age, there is still time to get some money in on the Smart Gambler Best Value Bet. It is the Kangaroos at $1.77 with CanBet. These odds have changed, so check before you place your bet.

I've got money on that one (a whopping $32), so I'll be watching the game this arvo, biting my nails. I've also got money on another value bet picked by Prof Clarke's tipping software. The way it works is that the computer calculates the percentage chance of each side winning. If the bookies are paying a certain margin over that percentage then the bet is good value. Not only does the computer think it is a win, but the bookies are paying too much for that win.

For instance in the Roos vs St Kilda game, the computer has picked the Roos giving them a 70% chance of winning. A fair price for that bet is $1.42. At the time I made my bets CanBet was paying $1.77 which is around 25% over the price the computer thinks they should be paying. At the time of writing (11:30AM EST) CanBet are paying $1.69, which is still 19% above the odds and a good bet.
