Listening to utensil Sparrer's 'Here We Stand'. Ripping album. Been a copy at Dixons for a fair time, could do a lot worse Dee Snider for $12.

utensil Sparrer are awesome. I found them via Tankard with their cover "We're Coming Back".

Does anybody know the bands Pallbearer and Bell Witch? 2 recent discoveries of mine.

Good to see this thread still going.

Lone Wolf! How's things?

Yeah Pallbearer go alright, looking forward to their new album next year.

Been up and down mate. How about you?

Haven't discovered much in the past 12 months, but thought I'd try and be active in this area for 2017 again.

Possible Albums I want in 2017:
Forgotten Tomb, Cannibal Corpse, Tankard, Grave, Hooded Menace, Kampfar Immortal, Vreid, Satyricon and Milking the Goatmachine.

2016 was a mixed year for me personally music wise, it could have been better, but a few surprises were had though, Metallica was one of them and rediscovering old bands. I'm hoping 2017 will be a better year music wise.

My 2016 top 20 played lists to come later today.

This is what I posted on New Years Day on Facebook about my albums of the year for 2016.

Did anyone else post their lists in here that I can look back on?

I agree with Imperium Dekadenz, that's a good album. I'm still yet to check out Ulcerate's one. Will check out the other bands when I can. (y)

Cant be ****ed making a 'Best of List' but looking back here's what springs to mind. No Megadeth, Anthrax, Metallica, Gorjira, Katatonia, Deftones, Gorguts, Cobalt or Dillinger Escape Plan (and many others) which all seem to have been generally well regarded from 2016.

Inquisition – Bloodshed.......
Zhrine - Unortheta
Ocean of Grief – For My Dark Self
Destroyer 666 – Wildfire
Desaster – The Oath of an Iron Ritual
Wode - Wode
Violet Cold – Magic Night
Darkthrone – Arctic Thunder
Novembre – URSA
Dawnbringer – XX
Batushka - Litourgiya
Khemmis – Hunted
Vektor – Terminal Redux
Ulcerate – Shrines of Paralysis
Alcest – Kodama
Sodom – Decision Day
Blood Incantation – Starspawn
Sorcery – Gardens of Bones
Altarage – Nihl
Sumerlands - Sumerlands
Astronoid – Air
Mare Cognitum – Luminiferous Aether
Crowbar – The Serpent Only Lies
Suicidal Tendencies – World Gone Mad

Disappointments of the year would be the Ghost Brigade & Agalloch break-ups I guess....and more waiting for the new Saturnus.
