He also looked good last year against Carlton but when pressure is on he turn to water but I'm sure you lot of North Melbourne supporter know alot more about Hartung after 4 games compared to 4 years eyyyyyyyy.

You're only as good as your last game.

Which makes Billy AA surely.

God, your posts are cringe-worthy.

Back for a second crack at it, I see.

Billy seems to have settled in well over at his new digs.

Now that he wears blue & white shorts, it'll be more difficult to disguise the times when he shits his pants.

Good to see a kangas fan know their place in the scheme of things.....A rare thing indeed.

And the finals series for those years?

2013: Hawthorn have no chance against the Manic Fremantle pressure, which chocked the life out of the Swans the previous week.
2014: Hawthorn have no chance against the best midfield in the competition barr none. Who smashed the Roos by 10 goals the week prior.
2015: West Coasts rucks & speed on tap will put the Hawks & their ageing midfield to the sword; just as it did 3 weeks prior.

Yep.....No worries meeja!

Bizarre indeed!

-15 clearance differential in 2015 PF, -6 in 2015 GF.
-4 in 2014 QF.
-14 in 2013 QF.

Won the rest. Your side had to increasingly play possession to hold the ball, especially in the last year.

Considering the paradigm has shifted towards high pressing and the ability to move the ball QUICK, Hartung is an asset. I'm not saying he's Chris Judd, but he compliments our system and it's shown in the first month. Hope it continues.

The first point does
Didn't really suit our play. Cause as a wingman you gotta either have running drive or spread with elite foot skills.

Atleast he can run around for the easy kicks at North & they'll give it to him due to where he's come from.

Always liked him at the Hawks and glad he is doing well at North. He does seem to have worked on his perceived deficiencies and put a bit more muscle on and seems to be getting more contested ball. He can also kick a good long goal which is a bonus for a winger.

Ive no doubt he will be a good player for North for years to come, he still looks to me too like he has some improvement in him so the move has obviously been a good one to spur him on a bit.

The exact same assets that Hartung possesses, with the exception that Hartung runs in straight lines.

He's not suited to the sideways and diagonal chip kicking possession play that was favored by Hawthorn.

North plays a lot more direct and this suits his skill set much better.

I was hoping the Crows would grab him as we desperately lack any players that take the game on with run since Cameron departed .
Good get by North and he suits there style .

Id wait for games against Richmond and Sydney and West Coast before getting too excited.

I'd wait for games when North finally assemble a competitive centre square midfield unit before writing him off.

Im not writing him off. Simply pointing out that Carlton having no defence was the perfect game for him.

He's been pretty good in 3 games mate.

Of course, players like him and the flankers largely depend on the midfield at least breaking even.

I would have liked to keep Billy, his last month or two for us definitely merited that. Unfortunately there was clearly some behind the scenes stuff we didn't know about.

Glad he's doing well at Norf. Would have liked to see him use his ability to run, kick goals and deliver the ball inside 50 at the Hawks, but happy to see him doing it somewhere at the highest level.

Credit to North they've done well with Hartung. Hawthorn obviously a good side again, not sure how long lasting or if they are the real deal though. O'Meara's knee is a ticking time-bomb for mine, and that's someone who has enjoyed his supercoach scores in recent weeks. Also they have some injuries now how will their depth fare? And will their defense hold up like it has all season? They don't have any KPD's and the elite tall forwards will eventually get their hands on Sicily, Stratton, Hardwick IMO etc. Forget about Frawley, he's cooked.

Although Hawks would be better off keeping Hartung, and good on North for picking him up, good get.

Hmmm should I follow your keyboard warrior doctorate in remote injury diagnosis, or trust our club doctors and specialists and his actual onfield performance and output?

Thank you for turning this thread into something about the Hawks list, because if we're ripping into anyone's back 6 I know who I'd rather out of ours and a team anchored by Lynden Dunn.

Keyboard Warrior because of an opinion about the durability of a player? The guys had a knee injury that kept him about for the better part of 3 years. The jury is far from being out as to whether his knee will stay strong and that's just being realistic.

At the moment both Collingwood's and Hawthorn's back 6 on a par and underrated IMO. Lynden Dunn has been fantastic for us, granted we need some KPD's coming through, McLarty looks the goods, I have no idea who your club may be developing to play back there.

We are also grooming Moore to play defense if he stays injury free.
