Probably discussed quite a bit but I just want to see Ratten back. Need to get him back in the fold one way or another. I know that he got the rough end of the stick so maybe doesn't want to but he is the man we need.

Has the respect and smarts we need right now. Hopefully it can happen one day sooner rather than later.
No thanks

Rocket Eade a lifeline for one year or even Paul Roos in a Director of Coaching role, would be ideal.

I wouldn’t want Rocket any where near the club after his stint at the Gold Coast, majority of the playing group couldn’t stand him.

Roos would be a great get, even if only part-time to help develop young players/culture. How he turned Neville Jetta into one of the premier defenders of the Comp was simply outstanding.

Happy with Teague but Bolton certainly needs more help. A senior assistant who has been in the game for a long time would be ideal.

I think it's crucial.

The whole coaching department needs an overhaul, besides Bolton I don’t think any of the coaching staff have been a part of a premiership team or even successfully run club.

Josh Fraser, Shane Watson, Teague, Stanton, Jason Davonport, Sav Rocca, John Barker, Tim Clarke & Dale Amos.

Would love to try and poach Caracella or Matthew Scarlett.
Tim Clarke was inaugural VFL coach for Richmond's VFL team & would have coached a number of the 2017 premiership players & Cam Bruce (who you have omitted from your list) came to us from Hawthorn where he was an assistant coach during their 3-peat.

Wouldn't mind seeing rats back at the club some day.

Would he come as an assistant coach? That would be very, very big of him.

Also I Don't think we can welcome him back until all the players that played under him during that era are gone. Needs a clean slate with a new playing group.

Mitchell would be another fantastic get, he could teach our midfield a thing or two about unsociable football.

I was lucky enough to be coached by Mitchell for about 5-6 training sessions whilst he was a Hawks player. What I remember most was how tough he was on demeanour, body language and attitude whilst training.

His number one rule was NEVER have your hands on your knees. E.g after running a 400m sprint and you’re stuffed - you’re not allowed to bend over and put your hands on your knees. You can grab hold of your shorts or hands on hips, but never knees.

Great choices! Blake or Matty would be really good additions.

I like Sam Mitchell too.

We have Cameron the Bruce too. Sav's the only one who can hold his head high imo. Stoppage coach who's biggest success was at South Barwon says it all really.

what a pointless directive
I would argue that nothing Sam Mitchell does is pointless. Bending over and looking at the ground was seen to be negative body language. Alternatively, having hands on hips instead of knees keeps the spine straight and your head up. These were standards that were inforced during their premiership era so they obviously have some substance.

What would Sammy Mitchell know? Need to get Thy down there.

Theres a reason for what we are doing. I now don't expect you to understand
As there was a reason Roos did what he did with Melbourne. They're now more expansive because they can be. We wil hopefully do the same one day. My points not to dismiss a very good coaching mind just because it can be defensive

Good point....if we can believe tom brown (and I haven't misinterpreted what he said) he says we would have needed to make application....afl does not offer it otherwise

I will be filling out an application form for a PP on behalf of the club

Meh! Getting a pick 10 for a previous pick 10 with questionable work ethic, that's played 8 games in three seasons seems like a pretty good deal to me. If he leaves, he leaves. I wont lose sleep over it. We'll get something for him and we will spend it on someone else. Next please.
What is the point of holding a player back just because his attitude "may" be questionable when McKay should be playing seniors as he was averaging 2 goals a game which was better than most!!! Charlie was the only forward we had against Brisbane so they double teamed him and that was that. The MC and coach not replacing Casboult with Harry was cutting off your nose to spite your face stuff!!! He was injured most of his first season so he really has only been playing for 2 seasons and if other clubs are looking at him he must have something going for him........never be quick to give your opponents a helping hand either, otherwise the club may stay bottom forever..............We need to let our young players develop not blame them for the mess we are in right now as a club!!!
