I guess people can pray for the Swans to obliterate us next week and Gold Coast to be competitive, and hope North beat the Lions for us to move to #2.

Won't be the prized #1 you covet but it will be an honest reflection of where we are placed right now.

I like what last night will do for Pickett, Curnow, Fisher, Lamb and Boekhorst.

That win was more important to the psyche of the whole club than pick 1 could ever be. If Kelly wants to come to Carlton and we want him that badly, he will come, if not too bad.

Exactly! A win like that would give Kelly more
reason to come than another honourable loss.
If Kelly nominates the Blues then SOS will get it done.
 
Depending on how things develop we may still finish with pick 2 and possibility 1 it's all about percentage and how the cards fall today and next week.
Lions and Roos will determine outcome .
Next year will more even competiom again , the more mobility players have the easier it gets most teams.
