I'm more worried about the AFL spitting on the oldest continuously worn sporting jumper in the world to look out for the heritage of the Gold Coast jumper.

Continue? Are we being forced to change for bloody GC??

make the seatbelt guernsey the clash jumper then,,, if its a thinner red sash its not going to worry melbourne GC the tigers or saints....and hopefully it means a bigger sponsorship from the TAC

although i dont see how it clashes anyway,,,,maybe there is a colour blind umpire that they need to do this for???

GC17 should adopt that orange mock up posted on their board. Looked really good. As for this, well I kind of see where the AFL is coming from. You can't just let clubs continue to push the boundaries of altering jumpers in the name of one good cause after another. It just sends a message that after a while the club isn't so much concerned about the actual cause but rather raising it's own profile and seen to be doing the charitable thing to the community.

Sorry if David Hille really wants this, given his accident as kid, but I'm really not fussed tbh.

According to Mero we should be expecting a light grey jumper next year. I assume something like this

I don't mind it.

White or grey with black and the red sash.

Either way, I've never really had a problem with having an "away" guernsey, as I think it's silly that all other clubs are made to, except for us and Collingwood.

I understand why traditionalists think it's an outrage. I simply think it's a bit of a non-issue.

This is ****ing bullshit. Why should we change our clash strip to accommodate GC? What a joke. Surely we only really clash with St Kilda and Richmond. Id like to see our club pay off both of these clubs so we can wear our jumper all the time. I think clubs wear their clash jumpers too much. it's almost like an away strip for some clubs.

I don't mind the grey one, always thought it was ok.

hmmmm....

tis ok. Think we can do better. The socks won't match the guernsey though. Black on white, grey, red with only black outlines. Probably need red and grey socks.

I think the socks need to stay the way they are. I don't think a "match" matters. I think grey on the socks would blow, plus you really want to change as little as possible. that's why I like it, as there's still black around the sash, and grey is really just a lighter shade of black. Yes, that justifies it!

I'm a little bit of a child in that I would only go for it, if Collingwood did. I am not sure I could handle them being the only ones not needing a clash jumper.

I love our traditional jumper, but I'm not against clash jumpers, nor do I really care about some minor variation to the jumper as an occasional one-off.

The only thing that would tick me off would be if options b or c looked crap. I reckon our away strip could be improved, but it's not that bad. It's just when we have to wear it when there's no real clash that's annoying.

I don't really like grey in Bombers-shop stuff though. A hat or t-shirt should be something red and black only, not those silly polo shirts with grey shoulders or whatever.

Actually I think an old Essendon logo had a blue border around the top bit - weird.
