Nah, Williams had THE worst attitude of any Collingwood player I've seen in 2016. I stood up for him for way too long last year, but his attitude was pathetic, especially given what we'd done for him to keep out of the joint. He is a shithouse bloke and that was why he didn't perform last year, not because we couldn't hide his kicking.
He's a shit kick

With good reason. Absolute spud!
You're a spud, and so is anyone willing to label a kid who's only played 15 games and is coming off an ACL one.

Starting to become the player many hoped, his kicking now is a weapon.
More to work on, but love watching him play

Nah. He's no good. When he's delisted in the next two years, I'll remind you that I was right.

I heard the same thing about Maynard 12 months ago, coincidentally around the time Ramsay was being praised for his game before rupturing his ACL.

Don't forget the year before his ACL he only played the first month of the season as well (looking very good)

Ramsay isn't best 22 at the moment, he's only in due to our injuries. He may come good, he may not. At this stage it's all speculation. He hasn't had a good enough run with it for anybody to be able to know what his ceiling is.This is the Maynard thread anyway, more toasting the bull.

That's fine... Ive loved Maynard since his first game. I also rated Ramsay after great form in the VFL. Afl Ramsay on the other hand?

I don't think Ramsay is a spud. He looks a guy that is still finding his feet after injury. He's played footy at this level and been really polished. I reckon he's struggling a bit for confidence.

Gets better each game. Will be a seriously frightening prospect by the time he's 22. His 1%ers are great, kicking and hardness is A great asset. This guy will be an absolute machine come finals. Animals excel during the hard stuff. He along with Adams and Grundy will help many of our boys walk taller.

You can think what you want. I think he's shit and I hope he's not best 22 by rd1 next year.

I liked the sound of Maynard from the time I read his draft bio and all I've seen so far is a kid slowly developing his game with the positives that were always present now outweighing the negatives by an increasing margin.

It's called experience and growth and he's going to be a bloody beauty.

when force feeding a kid games pays off

Interesting how this is viewed. One poster's 'force feeding kids games' is another poster's 'gifting kids games'. I'm in the first camp - if the club sees the potential then pumping games into kids like Maynard is an investment in the future, and not a waste of games.

same thats why i think brown and kirby should be in

As one of his harshest critics he's last 3 games have been super impressive.

He is keeping it very simple.
Not trying to out run or break tackles, he is instinctively just putting his best weapon- his left foot- to rapid use spraying the ball around at will all over the ground.

This is making him dangerous as well as reliable for us.

Maynard has a very high ceiling imo. Needs cleaner hands and sometimes makes horrendous mistakes but hopefully that's a lack of experience thin. Other than that, he has the body, pace and footskills to be very good.

He's having a similar evolution to Jasper Pittard from Port Adelaide. Gone from looking like a dumb, risky turnover merchant to a clever killer by foot. By no means is Maynard the finished product, but it's the leap that we hoped to see from Paul Seedsman, that he never quite made.
